  1. Don't they load up the bikes and drive between trails -- what's up with that!
  2. Well first of all, I wouldn't compare Peyton to an 'average' EB time -- I'd compare him with the fastest. Some numbers for you: this year's fastest elapsed time was a tad over 7 hours, at an average speed of ~11.5 mph. Peyton's elapsed time was over 17 hours, with an average speed of 10.5 mph, so quite comparable in my view. Not of course, that you are implying something is up with his posted Strava track ...
  3. Nope, but a lot of the folks I enjoyed hanging with at R&I started to ride south instead. I plan to show up for the season closer this Tuesday - I have some beer and food left over from the EB to serve up.
  4. The point is the size of the group riding across the parklands, and indeed along the roadways. Believe you me, this is not an event you want to be told you need a permit for.
  5. Detailed info about the EB is not going to be posted on a public forum. It won't kill you to create a FB account solely to join the EB group, where you can find the info you seek.

    Hail damage

Back when we had ours done, there had been some minor hail event in the area, and we learned that a few neighbors had called their insurance companies and were getting new roofs. We called, not expecting much - fellow came over, took one look and said 'yup, new roof for you'. So def worth the call!

    Hail damage

BTW, always worth getting your insurance company out to take a look at your roof - they may think you have hail damage which is covered, even if you don't.

    Hail damage

It's been some years, but these guys did a good job and worked with our insurance company. http://www.aswroofing.com/
  9. I used to enjoy the 'end of season' celebrations, even though we all knew we would see one another the following week. That, by the way, makes next Tues the 'last' R&I of the season. I don't go as often now - it's changed a lot since traffic got so bad that a large group now rides down south instead. But hey, I'll try and make next week with the grill - weather looks to be good.
  10. "Also many Boomer's" - Boomers "2 to 3 cars in there family" - their +1 for high school!
  11. Dec 18. I’ll post up in the events page when the bikreg page is up.
  12. Fat Chuck's Final Revenge should be mid to late December -- this will be the Full Pull. No date posted yet, but I'll post deets when I see them.
  13. I usually line up a few, so as not to be disappointed -- or bored.
  14. Would this be a good audio book? Got a road trip coming up ...
  15. Does this ride still happen - if so, where do you start from?
  16. Looked after, and well-secured, I feel that 1Up products will last a lifetime.
  17. 1UP sell one now. https://www.1up-usa.com/product/rakattach/
  18. It’s a great shame that the Austin Ridge Riders seem to have no social media presence whatsoever.
  19. I don't not believe you - it's simply my recollection that signage at Reimers is a stake in the ground with a color and a small arrow. If you are meant to ONLY ride it in that direction, it's probably worth stating as such on the sign -- same as with any trail system. Not that I have ever seen anyone ride it the other way, but you know there are people out there who will.
  20. You had me at ‘Trailforks’. Who knows who submitted that loop. Or perhaps it is listed?
  21. Reimers is a little unique: we voted on the purchase - before your time, possibly - and the trail system, as well as the rock climbing, the horsey stuff and the river access - were all firmly established. Ol Milton made it very clear that all of this was to remain.
  22. I think you should calm down a little. 99.99% of riders ride it as signposted. However, if it is truly a mono-directional trail system, it is worth informing users of that.
