  1. That was a solid follow up 👍👍 Here is a link for the lazy but curious people. http://www.theunticket.com/ticket-protest-the-tee-box-wants-the-anus-for-top-25-moments/
  2. My guess is this is supposed to say onus, but man this is great. Coffee came out of my nose just now and I thank you. #boneappletea
  3. I have only ever seen snakes at the BCGB. Rattler 2 times on of which I jumped over him after barreling around a blind corner near the quarry. I wound up falling as a result and have never gotten up from a front wheel washout so quickly in my life. The other sighting was mundane and just passed a rattler warming up on a rock. The rest of the list includes 2 rat snakes and what looked like a coral snake, but I admit I did not pay it enough mind to check which colors were touching.
  4. I feel like they may have tweaked a couple things, but production wise that would be a pain in the ass...so maybe not.
  5. They do make a Big Honzo ST now as well. 5'-9" as well and I love the reach on my med. Different strokes for different folks.
  6. I have 2017 Honzo ST so that was before the started making the Big Honzo ST. I only run it SS and have had both wheel sizes in there and it rides great/plenty of clearance. Running 2.6x29s currently and still could probably shove a 2.8 in with comfortable clearance.
  7. Honzo st can do that too. Just saying :). I think I may be biased though.
  8. There is a sweet spot for me I have found. Too high and it bothers my back and too low it flops too much. Losing some weight also made it feel better for me, but idk if that is problem for you.
  9. This is spot on! Yeah we may not all agree that you should/should not be on the trails, but keep doing your best to create positive interactions. We as mountainbikers still struggle with this and many of us do our best to go out of our way to be polite to make up for some of the d-bag strava tards that give us a bad name and threaten all of our access to trails. Even with courtesy I have gotten yelled at by hikers and walkers for just riding my bike. Ultimately we cannot be the determining factor of your legal status, but to go on you cop comment from earlier. If someone had a big enough problem with you they would have already called the cops. Assuming that has not been done...no one is that upset about your presence. Thanks for your service on the trails! Keep on enjoying our parks. Dont ride and e-bike :). See you out there on the trails man. P.S. I have ridden a one wheel and they are a ton of fun and certainly not easy/skill-less though I do not think anyone would argue that fact.
  10. When I was trying to decide which frame to buy I was looking into the Chameleon as well, but looking at the rest of his list he looks like he is leaning toward steel bikes. Except the stache which is an enigma and I also love it! If they made a steel stache man...I would pre order that thing right now.
  11. Exactly. I have heard fine things about their upper end models, but they still price at half of what should be speced at that price. IMO.
  12. I may have been lucky, but 2 of my recent bikes have had pressfits and I have never had a single problem with them. Suntour is inexcusable at that price though.
  13. I agree on the honzo, but I prefer those of the steel variety. Also, a hardtail should be run singlespeed.
  14. So I just picked up a pair of Bontrager Line Elite 30s and I really like how stiff and light they are, but man I keep dinging the rim...I am all for straightening aluminum rims, but not every ride. I like running lower pressures especially on this bike as it is my hardtail. I run the same pressures as my FS and have had more rim strikes/dings on this bike in a month than 2 years on my squishy. The hubs are amazing since they are essentially re-badged DT 350 straight pulls, but the rims are too soft. Looking at getting them re-laced in the near future and looking for recommendations on a bomb proof rim for my hardtail ss. May try huck Norris as well, but I have ridden Cush Core and do not like it. Willing to try carbon, but it makes me nervous as hell considering I regularly have rim strikes at my pressures. Also I like aluminum prices more as well...
  15. My thoughts exactly. I also think that R&D time for and xc rig is much less than that of a trail/FS rig. XC geo has not changed much in recent years so it was probably pretty easy to get a hold of a design/mold to begin fabbing these and get them to market. I would expect a trail bike in the not too distant future.
  16. I would agree with this statement. The average mountain biker is not gong out to buy a race geo hartdtail with no dropper. Not to say people are not buying them, but the majority of people are buying a more trail oriented geo bike.
  17. Ill bite. This is my beater bike that I built for a total of about 20 bucks and 2 x 6 pack trades. This was my first foray into single speeds and got me addicted. Its now been on loaner to 2 of my friends who were in need of bike. Had most of the parts laying around in my parts bin and the rest I either traded for or found at YBP.
  18. Looks super long to me. Cool budget build though. Nice to see people breathing some life back into old bikes that may otherwise wind up in a junk pile somewhere.
  19. Custom built my steel SS last year for 1100, but put a cheap wheelset on it at first. Just bought a new wheelset and a replaced my fork internals for 700 total. Easily doable.
  20. This bugged me too. The face of their website is a guy with V brakes, reflectors, and a dork disc... I am all for riding what you have, but dont make that the image you are greeted with on a website if you are trying to appeal to mountainbikers on a whole. Just my opinion.
  21. Take that tire off and use a vice grip with some electrical tape on it. Bend that baby back and keep on riding. It will not have the same structural integrity if you hit it again in the exact same spot, but it will ride normally. I cannot count the number of times I have just bent my wheels back into shape. Yay aluminum!
  22. Yep! Just hoping someone would have it laying around and I could recycle it. I have the parts I need in the cart, but thought it was worth a shot since alot of people wont go through the effort of repairing and I only need a few smaller parts of larger pieces they sell.
  23. The rack I have had this part in-tact so if I manage to come across another rack that part is yours. I wish I would have thought of doing this a few months back since I had another friend who had his replaced after a wreck. Its nice how replaceable all the parts in these racks are. As well as interchangeable. Great design.
