Getting ready for a big shuttle run descent from the franklins to the houses in the valley below. Hooked up with some locals and found the gnarly stuff. Definitely some Chihuahuan desert freeride going on out here.

I used to like that bridge, and I think it was rebuilt then promptly destroyed again at some point. Probably by the same spiteful little turds that installed the massive gate of doom just north of there. Think this picture makes it look higher than it was, and I also might have been a little late in the game switching to wide bars.

"Billy Goat", and not "Old Goat" which was his actual nickname? Maybe another Wilco official's overreach, because "Old" would be ageist? He was a great guy, was always willing to give a hand, and would give you the shirt off his back, so he definitely deserves recognition and is missed dearly. Glad this old dream of a trail was finally realized.1 point

Who's going to be the 1st to create "The Meg" Strava segment? 1/4 Notch Double Down Bob Ross The Rim (all the way to the top, down Dave's Ditch, then the climb back up to Rim that starts near the end of Dave's Ditch, then take a left towards The Bowl) The Bowl Billy Goat Picnic I think the opposite direction (Counter Clockwise) starting at Picnic will be harder.1 point

For anyone interested, the bridges were torn out by the local Karen Kommission a long time ago. that was a fun place to ride. fortunately, it's still totally rideable without the bridge.1 point
