  1. No, you are not being too cheap. Check out swapping the front and back. I have a a regimen for my tires, the good bike gets the new ones, passing down its tires to the singlespeed, and then the singlespeed tires go to the urban bike for the final grinding down. I get years out of a set of tires across multiple bikes.

  2. One more season. Lower knobs = less rolling resistance on the BRCT.

  3. I found another solution to a problem with kids bikes, frame space for a water bottle. Both of my girl's bikes have limited space for a cage the 20" actually has no place for a cage. I found this thing, I forget why I originally bought it but I realized that it would work on the 20". Vincita Stem Top Cap Bike Water Bottle Cage Adapter. https://a.co/d/fjuUmpN

  4. Had a bit of a learning experience this past late summer/fall. We were riding Boggy Draw above Dolores, CO two or three times a week at 8,000' elevation. Mostly non technical, buff singletrack, but the beginning of the loop that we do is a gentle climb for about 3 miles, with a steeper grade towards the end of the climb. I finally realized that I could just get in my easiest gear and easy spin right along keeping a steady cadence rather than working at pedalling hard. That's when I started to be able to do the whole thing without stopping. Definitely more fun, easier on the legs and I think better for cardio.

  5. The name stems from the name of his Jeep. At his memorial his family requested the trail be named this as it was special to them and his memory. The county had no part in the naming. The county has been great to work with lately btw.
