  8. I hear you my dude but you're avoiding the main point of my post. it not about pride, it about what makes a bicycle a bicycle and once you go outside the parameters of what a bicycle is, you arent riding a bicycle anymore. bicycle by definition - bi·cy·cle /ˈbīsək(ə)l/ Learn to pronounce noun 1. a vehicle composed of two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, *propelled by pedals* and steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel. synonyms: cycle, two-wheeler, pedal cycle; More the end there is not arguing with that
  9. woah woah woah! huge apples to oranges comparison youre making there. I dont have a problem with e-bikes either, but dont compare suspension and a dropper post to adding a motor to a bicycle. one of the biggest pride points about riding bicycles is that youre completely driven and propelled by your own generated human power. all that distance you just covered, or that huge mountain you just ascended - all done with your heart, lungs, and muscles. not a motor. you can add all the shocks and droppers and fancy bling components to your bike and its still a bicycle. but the moment you add a motor for propulsion its not longer a bicycle, its a motorized vehicle. the end if you crank up the far west blvd hill on a bike next to a guy riding an e-bike and you both set strava PRs at the top, the achievements arent the same. that being said I totally promote ebikes for people that arent able bodied, but if you are able bodied, you loose some points there
  10. hey everyone, if someone could hook me up with a 12mm ID DU bushing that would be awesome. I have some rear shock mounting hardware that is 11.9mm OD and all modern DU bushings ive found have all been to big. help! please!
  11. I'll gladly buy you some beer if you wanna help me service a fork or two 🙂
  12. ive had great experiences with https://traillabs.com in Missouri. straight forward pricing, fast turn around times, and factory level full services and rebuilds. I would recommend them to anyone
  13. https://www.facebook.com/events/352355088762058/ https://www.bikereg.com/banduro guaranteed to be a GREAT time! please share to all of your friends! come out, race or spectate! this is one of the few mountain biking venues that is surprisingly spectator friendly with the clear visibility across large areas of the property! This is the first race put on by myself and my race event company Victory Racing! hope to see and meet many of you there!
  14. wrong. you should just be using an 8mm Allen wrench to loosen the drive-side crank arm off and it uses a self extracting bolt to push itself off the crank spindle, just like all the other modern race face cranks// that 16mm Allen is only if youre removing/changing the crank spindle itself or the self extracting bolt that cap that has the 16mm Allen wrench hole needs to stay on while you are turning the 8mm crank bolt counter clockwise. the 8mm bolt pushes against the inside of that 16mm Allen cap to self extract the crank arm off the spindle
  15. with a one up rack, or another brand? if one up, did you not tighten the cam in the hitch bar, or was something loose? even my 1 1/4" one up was super solid and didn't really flex at all with 1 or two bike trays. I only got flex with 3 and 4 trays with bikes. the one up rack is the best rack you can buy and is super super solid despite what happened to my original 1 1/4 hitch bar with it breaking when I overloaded it. that as my fault and its no longer an issue with the 2" hitch bar and heavy duty side plates. however, with 4 bike trays and 4 bikes loaded up, there is some diving-board-like movement from the rack but between the weight, the long leverage of 4 bikes/trays, and the flex of the structural aluminum I think the amount of movement is just fine. even though im mentally scarred and always imaging the rack breaking again full of bikes in my head any time im driving with full capacity loaded up haha
  16. "if you plan on even semi regularly carrying more than 2 bikes, get the heavy duty for sure. I had the 1 1/4" one up rack and with 3 bikes if flexed like crazy and was scary to watch. going down the highway and hitting humps/dips in the road would make the rack flex about 6-8" vertically. it was crazy.. then at one point for a shuttle run at cat mtn, I very briefly put 4 bikes on it (its only rated for up to 3) and the entire rack snapped off with $20k worth of bikes on it and skid down the street like a sled. thank god it didn't tip over and all the bikes were completely unharmed." - Seth in the past in his post about this exact issue and crickets! 🤦‍♂️
  17. what frame? carbon? ,y friend Krys bon owns "cracked" carbon repair and does legit work at better prices than local competitors for sure. message me if needed
  18. glad to hear about the improvements. I see a lot of people that seem to run their suspension too stiff which also contributes to harsh riding, loss of grip, and soreness. rock on!
  19. Yes 157 super boost will work just fine! If if anyone has one
  20. shot in the dark here, but does anyone have a 157mm (DH spacing) 27.5 rear wheel I can borrow this weekend for pajarito? if anything happens to the wheel I borrow ill build you a brand new one. lol. thanks! just a time sensitive issue as I'm leaving for pajarito tomorrow! the bearings on my Chris King rear hub are seized up for some reason, and I need a temporary wheel or will be racing on my trail bike again
