Day 2 on the road and she's gone batshit🤣
  3. Holy shit! Sold our place, and closing at 830 tomorrow. Then on our way to Quebec to buy a house and hunker down until next year. Mont Sainte Anne here we come!!
  4. Brick Top goes spoken word
  5. Did some riding in NW Georgia a couple years ago. Was pretty impressed. Pensacola is a bad ass beach for the distance/money. Blows away the cancer coast that is texas. Dude, congrats. Telluride is so bad ass. Enjoy!!!
  6. Santa FE Spirits has a tasting room in SF. Colin is a straight up cool dude and has some of the best gin and brandy i've ever had.
  7. And makes the guys heading down at full speed want to slit your throat 😁
  8. As sick as she was, my wife also stopped taking the paxlovid due to aftertaste. Said it was so bad it was making her nauseous. Nausea went away within a few hours of discontinuing it.
  9. Agree. Hopefully more dominant than flu.
  10. not boosted. havent had a jab since 4/2021. Overall quality of health IMHO, will be the best defense in preventing hospitalization. think current strains are beyond anything pharma can help with, and nature is currently sorting itself out. Thankfully omicron is way more contagious and less dangerous than the big D. My experience with the virus was somewhere between the flu and a cold. Sucked either way.
  11. Wife's had all the boosters too. Still got it
  12. Tough to say. It's just "different". Sitting and spinning keeping as much weight as you can on the back tire without unloading the front. Active suspension platforms just seem to want to do the work. It's almost like describing driving on ice to someone from Mississippi. Just takes practice.
  13. Congrats! IMHO, you're going to get more results from adapting riding technique rather than changing the suspension settings. That's just the characteristics of the suspension platform.
  14. In need of some TV or Bike boxes. Have some large framed pictures and a couple 50&55" TVs that need boxes. Have a crap ton of bike stuff to trade. Thanks!
  15. Stopped taking the paxlovid after 2.5 days. Wife came up positive yesterday and and her doctor recommended against using pax since her symptoms like mine, were mild, and she has no health issues. Ever since I started taking it, I had the worst aftertaste in my mouth. So much so it was waking me up in the middle of the night . Complete cotton mouth too. Was really surprised how quickly it would appear when I took my dose. Within 10 minutes the sour grapefruit taste was back and stronger than ever. Made my breath gnarly as well. Hard pass. First afternoon/night off of it, I slept straight through and awoke feeling far better rested. Not a condemnation of the drug but I don't think I needed it. Gonna hang on to the remaining packs just in case. And yes @AustinBike, we're taking it way easy for a bit, but also having to manage moving out of our house at the same time. Looking back, we were hitting black/double black DH trails in telluride for four days, and then boozing it all night when I was already symptomatic. Damage may already be done🤣
  16. Thanks Good for people looking to buy in austin for sure.
  17. Timely review https://www.pinkbike.com/news/review-the-155mm-revel-rail-29-wants-more-uphill.html This stuck out for me: "While I wouldn't recommend it to those looking at the all-XC or all-DH sides of the spectrum, it checks enough boxes on the smooth climbs, tech climbs, flow descents, and rough descents that I feel it would work well on the vast majority of bike terrain for the vast majority of people, and it manages to do that without ever feeling boring."
  18. Cash is indeed king. House is under contract with closing on 8/5. Project GTFO has commenced, and we will be heading north in the not too distant future. Had to drop price $20k from when we listed but everything is going down in price, so it's a bit of a wash.
  19. Thanks! Will also add, paxlovid mouth is real. About 60 minutes from first dose the sour aftertaste set in. Not great. Read that hard cinnamon candies help so I ordered up a crap-ton from Amazon.
  20. Dude, got back Sunday thankfully. You are 100% right about getting sick on trips. Sucks so bad. Was chewing tums all last week. Certainly didn't curtail our drinking 🤣
