19 & 16 y/o daughters and a wife who works in education. I've also had to temper some of my language as things i thought were completely benign were really offensive to them. Outside on the street, I just double up on my use of profanity to make up for it😆

Ive heard of a couple issues with their cassettes as well but haven't used one. I suppose if weight is someones biggest priority they would be a good option. Ive had such good luck with the aftermarket sunrace SCMX cassettes I will probably stick with them. The biggest thing that I liked about Garbaruk was the cages. Now i have an option to replace the cages on my derailleurs instead of throwing them in a box for spare parts. Also, people who invetibly damge the cage on their eagle 12spds have some options too. Used to order a lot of stuff from bike-discount out of europe and all was good as long as it went through SF or NYC ports. If it ended up in Chicago, god help you. Had an order also disappear from there as well.

Since covid has us all a bit spun, figured I'd post some tech I did today trying to solve an issue that is probably very, very isolated. Found out the hard way in Arkansas that the chain on my bike was too short and snapped the rear derailleur leaving me on my second day at the DH park riding chainless. What I hadn't taken into consideration was the 28MM of rearward axle path at full stuff on a high pivot. The issue is the bike was designed around a 10-42 cassette and I'm currently running an 11-46, and the chain was either too short in the 46t under compression, or too long in the 11t at ride height. This was with a shimano M8000 and X1 medium cage derailleurs. The solution was to either go to a long cage 11spd or just bite the bullet and do a 12spd derailleur. I had already ditched shimano and went back to sram by purchasing an X1 shifter and derailleur. I also really didn't want to run a GX eagle on a 27.5 just to get torn off by a rock. I ended up buying a garbaruk billet cage that is compatible with up to 50t cassettes and also some larger pulleys to take up some additional slack. After getting it all installed took it out for a spin the extra 13mm in cage length resolved my chain issues. Now, the bike is just hanging on the wall waiting for the human plague to blow over. I would definitely recommend Garbaruk for people looking to add some deeper gears to their MTB or road drivetrains. https://www.garbaruk.com/

^ Dude, we used to live in Salt Lake City and still have friends back there. Last weeks earthquake really did a number on their heads. When the mormons saw that trumpet break apart and fall off the gold plated angel on their temple, they were sure it was/is the end times. They don't f@ck around up there. They are required to be certified in first aid and disaster training and have months supplies of food in basements. Not even get into the arsenals of weapons.

We're on our own for now, and really all you can do is behave as if you, and everyone around you has it. At current projections, that might be true by summer if we don't get the dumbf@cks acting like everything is fine in check.

F@ck all corporate media. I get my information, or as much as I can from doctors and researchers that aren't in the hunt for views and clicks.

Built a flatbar gravel/cross bike and really regretted not doing drops on it. Next one will have drops but more progressive geo to add some stability.

Saw that, and have bought 4-5 kona frames from cambria with nothing but good things to say. Can usually get them and jenson to compete for lowest prices for the best deal. this one is damn tempting https://www.cambriabike.com/collections/kona-bikes/products/kona-rove-nrb-dl-2019 BTW these guys also blow out some konas as well. https://centrecitycycles.com/closeouts/

Been running DMR vaults with Mi6 compound 5tens for years. Zero issues with Mi6 and liked them so much I basically ordered a lifetime supply when they went on sale.

My wife was a school administrator and had to deal with parents of students who refused to vax. they see something on FB and assume its true and then proceed to put 2499 other students at risk because their kid is special. those parents usually pull their kids and homeschool them anyway. as a bonus those kids will never leave home and will live isolated in the basement for the remainder of their sheltered lives.

After almost 5 days at home had to make a call for work, taking me to Bastrop yesterday. Stopped in to the Specs to restock and they had the 6ft rule in place and there were only 8-12 people total in there including myself. I was gloved up and trying to keep my distance from the clerk who was pushing 70 y/o. When I asked WTF the oldest guy was doing working the register, he replied that he was the only one willing to work. Damn. TBT, I couldn't GTFO of that place fast enough. On the bright side, I bought almost $150 worth of beer and cava😁

Sitting on my ass drinking, eating chips and catching up on movies I've missed. The last 15 minutes of "Once upon a time in Hollywood" made me laugh. The phone and can of dogfood being used as a weapon was great, but the dog was even better. Wife was not impressed🤣
