  1. I picked up some slip-on pro riders in the sale, for riding my bmx bike around the yard. Sexy ... and sticky!
  2. Maxxis Rekon 29 x 2.6s on my Chumba single speed. Not a boost frame but no issues.
  3. Poking around a bit, it seems like almost anyone can add trails and segments. I'd be surprised if ARR had officially taken this task on, since - to my knowledge - the SATN, with the exception of Slaughter Creek, are not within the ARR purview. But hey, you never know. I've been on Pinkbike a while, I'll see if I can find an admin to ask.
  4. The Thumper Trail Angel (admittedly, my wife), a couple of EBs ago: “you need to put name tags on these guys, most of them either don’t know or can’t pronounce their names when they come out.” Yup, it’s the Upside Down World.
  5. They are probably still in there!
  6. They have not yet determined which already-approved projects will now have their funding revoked in order to pay for the boondoggle.
  7. Gotcha - I was working on the assumption that the meeting would be Zoom-style, as the last one was. Perhaps by early June they will be back to meeting in person.
  8. Not disagreeing, but here's to hoping the Clerk at CAMPO - who was managing the powerpoint feed - feels the same way. You could certainly talk for three minutes, if nothing else.
  9. 3 minutes, but if the last meeting was anything to go by, these people can barely mute their microphones, let alone allow a third party to share a screen.
  10. Works for me! Do you drink Pinthouse IPA?
  11. I could use that ramp looking thingy on the left. I actually need a ramp thingy for my backyard bike park.
  12. Well, I won't quite say we've been thrown under the bus, but we're coming close. The Campo board, following Mayor Adler's lead, voted overwhelmingly to transfer $633m of funding from already-approved local projects and instead throw it at a managed-lane I-35 project - not what I would call local, and it'll probably make no difference to traffic. The final list of projects to be cut has not yet been decided, so there will be additional time for public feedback, but listening to the Campo meeting (which I did, you can thank me later) it sounds like most of the voting board are not cyclists or don't care about things like the North Walnut Creek Trail and the Big Loop. One or two members of the public - as well as Commissioner Shea - spoke pointedly about how these local projects had been approved and promised, and now that promise was being reneged upon ... Forest Ridge, anyone? A decent summary can be found here: https://www.austinmonitor.com/stories/2020/04/campo-commits-633-million-to-i-35-without-a-final-list-of-cut-projects/
  13. I think it was about 137 when I posted it, so looks like a solid response so far.
  14. Looks like some quick action might be needed here - there's a chance CAMPO may rescind the funding for the already-approved Northern Walnut Creek Trail, and use it for some crappy interstate project. https://bikeaustin.org/2020/04/advocacy-alert/?fbclid=IwAR2_FIpK3feVKTLP8c4xqlEv9_FdCnxFrdB-DW2yA2WN_crrUp1OiOuHvws
  15. It's a sad fact that many talented brewers haven't got a clue how to market, sell and generally run a business.
  16. I fervently wish you would just go away. This used to be my quiet place – seems like you are happy to ruin it for everyone.
  17. The CoronRAvirus has finally hit the mainstream threads ... and will drive viewers away until it has the place to itself.
  18. Are you supposed to go down it or up it?
  19. Indeed - now that this thread has been infected by our very own 'virus', I may have to hit the ignore button on it!
  20. Even though several people already answered it. Sheesh.
  21. One thing's for sure, they show posts from blocked users.
  22. And still damned dangerous, if you are not pretty careful.
  23. There's a difference between cash income (received at the moment of sale of a gift card), and tax accounting - treatment of the revenue from the sale of same, which can stretch out over a year or three. I believe our POS software recognizes when an individual gift card is entirely or partially redeemed. As far as I know, when you make the initial sale, you get the dollars right away. * I'll edit the post to say that most of my experience lies in the area of gift card theft and forgery, which is an entire field of expertise in itself (I'm not the expert).
  24. I’ve a line on both of those right here in town. Private stash, but I get to sample!
