Yeah sorry about the Rockets opener. But Davis is a beast for sure. The Spurs were definitely on point against the Wolves. I know a lot of Spurs fans were nervous going into this game due to the rash of injuries the players were experiencing. Murray is out for the season with a torn ACL, then the back up PG injured his foot and could be out for 6 weeks. So they had Forbes start at PG who is basically a third string shooting guard and damn did he hold his own. His stat line for the game was impressive. I was extremely impressed with DeRozan, I'm so glad we have him. LA and Rudy held it down of course. I think if our boys can get their defense up we'll go 82-0 baby!

Sweet, yeah I like the Rockets too. I hear rumors about maybe them trading for Butler but honestly I don't really see how that could happen? He's also a Houston native which would be really cool, though that doesn't really seems to matter these days. I'll also be following the Spurs closely. Have you thought about using a standing desk for work? Fortunately my job has me on my feet 8 hours a day but my brother in law started to notice that being sedentary was causing him major issues. I wonder if part of it is parents know how distracted drivers can be these days? I know statistically crime is lower in the states these days but I don't know off the top of my head if accidental deaths are higher? I mean you don't have to look far past road cyclists experiences you know? When we were kids we didn't have drivers with their noses in hand held devices constantly. Just goes with how times and technologies are changing..

Honestly I struggle with this but times are changing and that's just the reality of things. Basically this question comes down to parenting. Are games bad? No. Are letting your kids do nothing a whole entire summer break or weekend playing video games bad? Probably. Games accomplish all kinds of things these days for kids. They offer unique opportunities for imaginary play, technical skills, shit...even leadership skills depending on the game/kid. I don't even think it's a debatable topic. As parents it is OUR responsibility to limit how much screen time our kids are getting. Games are not the problems, parenting is. In fact that is the problem with a lot of things these days. I also want to add that for a lot of us games weren't even an option because they weren't around or they weren't advanced enough to keep interest. So while we're able to say all I wanted to do was build forts and run around and etc. we also have to be accepting of the fact that we didn't have to choose between a super immersed world that allowed us to role play our wildest dreams, or go sweat outside. For most kids that's a hard choice to make. That's where the parents role comes in.
