Just activated my Pixel 9.  Will confirm with T-Mobil that one can opt-in to a $10/month satellite texting service without being on a T-Mobil plan.  I'll check with T Mobil tomorrow or Monday to confirm.

I have my vacation planned the last week of Sept. Since I've never been there, I'm doing a day trip tomorrow. That way I'll know what to expect for the two nights camping.

Deborah, my amazing wife is comfortable with me doing more than one night away. She has serious medical issues that make things a little more tricky. We always discuss things like this, with kindness. I'm planning on 2 nights just to get a taste of all of it. It's only a couple hours away but it's like any out of town trip.  They have an 800 yard range, and...I have a Savage 110 Stealth Evolution chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum. No scope in pic, but it has an e-bikes worth of glass on it now.  

Starship flight 10 happened today and it was awesome...seriously...awesome...
