  1. my 13 and 11 year olds are both on XS 26" bikes - trek 3700. for 24" bikes, they both road TREK MT 220 this thing looks solid, with disc (disk) brakes: https://austin.craigslist.org/bik/d/austin-giant-xtc-jr-disk-24-mountain/7063583210.html
  2. Santa Cruz Demo - BSS Parmer Sunday Mar 22 @ 11:00 am – 4:00 pm https://www.bicyclesportshop.com/event|santa-cruz-demo-3|1358
  3. i personally enjoyed the backwards lap, it was a fun challenge. i was most worried about the slippery trail, but that ended up being only a minor concern. i did wash out one time on a slick flat turn. the creek crossing seems to be the hardest obstacle on the lap. i did lose my chain one time on it, which cost me the most time. but my plan for charging full speed did seem to work effectively. it might be helpful to have a sign showing which class is currently running and when the next class will begin? but not necessary. i would like to see the individual lap times included in final results. and live results would be super fun.
  4. i had a lot of fun at the race. Thanks Guys! any word on the dude that went down on the last lap of cat 3? it looked pretty bad.

  8. while upgrades are nice, if she is really riding park, i would vote for saving my money for a better bike in this particular case.
  9. did seth end up winning his own race?
  10. not completely related, but they are building some pretty fancy houses that back up to brushy creek right on suburban ninja. pretty solid location, but probably won't have the same feel once they build the pavement through there.

  13. Just rode deception (Wednesday lunch). it was gtg, save a handful of puddles on quarter. chain is up on peddlers, didn't try anything else, assumed they were probably a bit too wet.
  14. lake georgetown generally take about 4 hours to ride and its 45 minute drive each way. The sun is setting around 6pm this time of year. Just start with Barton Creek, and you can play it by ear from there. Yes, RPR is worth the drive. Flat Creek Crossing is also a good riding ranch, and its right next door to Pedernales Falls, which has 30 more miles of trail. This is about an hour from downtown.

  21. Had a great ride, thanks guys! definitely some exploring required. Think i'll try adding this on to my next Mt Lakeway ride for a pretty big Lakeway day.
  22. sounds good. i'll use trailforks if i need to find my way. i've ridden mt lakeway a number of times, and that would be too much for this ride. so Hamilton GB sounds perfect.
  23.
