I agree with AB. On the full squish I don’t have to think ahead about lines or position or terrain for example. You just plow through it for the most part. On the SS I need to be more aware of body position. Pedal Position and where and how I start pedaling for example. I can’t necessarily just plow through and go up and over. It takes more thought and finesse and basic skills. It forced me to learn and remember the skills I learned years ago but got lazy riding because the bikes I owned became “better” so didn’t have to ride with quite the same skills.
