  1. Same bike. It has undergone some changes. I used the Salsa Fargo as inspiration.
  2. That was probably me. Not really a cross bike, or even a monstercross. It's a fat bike set up with 29er wheels and a drop bar. I call it a monstertour. And it's black and was there last night from dusk to about 7.
  3. Out of curiosity I was looking at that propery (the singletrack really) online a few weeks ago. Do you know if that's one of the places he sold? Wonder if the trails still exists? It is in a great area for trails.
  4. I rode Grelle early this summer. I thought it was a lot of fun, if a bit short. https://strava.app.link/btu2YtMlfS My comments at the time were: "It has a couple of really fun trails. Mustang Ridge, Overlook and Cottontail work out to be about 3.5 miles of fun rocky ridge singletrack, with lots of quick up/down grade reversals. And there is another 3 or so miles of decent fast singletrack. It's all a little hard to get to though, with the fun stuff requiring a short but tough and steep cobble grind of Fox Run. Anyway, the place offers lovely views and the terrain is very cool. I’ll probably put it on a 8-12 month rotation." And Colarado Bend is a damn good time!
  5. I think the Yari looks like a fun a decent value adventure bike. I have a friend in NY who loves his.

  7. If by we you mean me and my bicycle, then we do WC night rides 1 to 2 times per week after the time change. Also there is a fun group ride that leaves Oskar Blues at 6:30 on Thursdays if you're interested. It tends to have 15-30 folks. With beer after and often before.
  8. 40s and 50s while dry is great. Low 40s and rain? That's what I call near worst imaginable conditions. The actual worst would be mid 30s and rain, so this may be close.
  9. Weather.com reports 45% chance at 7am. Where are you seeing 70%?
  10. Indeed. The Chihuahuan Desert is lovely just now. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  11. It really did. It woke me up and continued for about 2 hours. Unfortunately I've had my fill of not riding singletrack the last couple of days. Were we the only two planning to do this ride? I think instead I'm going to head out to Pedernales for a good long ride on dirt and rocks. It looks like they missed most of the rain last night. Impromptu for sure, but you're welcome to join me if you'd like. I could pick you up at 8 at WC. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
  12. I'm into this preride. See you there.

Are you doing the whole BCGB portion first or last? Seems more reasonable to end with a 75 degree swim than to start with a 55 degree swim.
  14. I have family in town...but I'm going to make this anyway. Planning to roll out of WC at 12:15 and head to BB Rovers.
  15. It can get quite muddy, but I've never seen that keep the motos off the trail.
  16. I keep looking to see if this ride is going to be cancelled.... The overnight forecast looks rough.

    Nov 3 works for me.
  18. I definitely like to perform my Sunday religious observance of sleeping late, so afternoon works great for me. Edit...although Austin is currently looking like 60% chance of rain for the weekend, so that's not great. Oddly Houston looks good this weekend, so that may be where I get my rides in.
  19. I could likely make a Thumper Thursday.

I'm in so long as it happens on the scheduled weekend. If rain pushes it out a week then I have a conflict.
  21. Ok so pretty much everything except what I mentioned above was great.
  22. On the way over to the OB ride we went through WC. The start trail was a mess and we didn't even try .6. We took pavement over to Log and rode Inner Log. It was 98% dry and 2% standing puddles. So I don't know.
  23. I'm betting conditions are good (enough). The Oskar Blues ride is on at WC tonight and I'm planning to join in.
  24. What time do you reckon? I think I'm in for a couple of laps tonight.
  25. You have to try real hard to ride the Inner Loop. It isn't happening by accident. I know a good line through, but it still starts, ends, and middles messy. I moved to town after the bulldozer carnage. But I loved the Peak Loop and the Outer Loop so much, that I used GPS to force my way through the Inner Loop, which is more of the same. The ends of both Flow Trail and Jaws can pretty quickly conneced into either Beginner Loop or Race Loop with just a very short gravel road ride. Here is a link to a ride where I did most everything. https://www.strava.com/activities/1380672953 And here's a relatively recent ride where I did everything but Epic. https://www.strava.com/activities/1612861663 Regarding Epic, it was the case that you used Tee Pee Trail to get to the bottom. But now TP is fenced and locked. So I'm not sure how you're supposed to manage it now.
