    I was there Tuesday and Windy was a mess on that first climb. I don't think that much rain fell that would stay for long. Most of the place was fantastic.

    The running water surprised me. And those rocks are VERY slippery when wet. *shrugs* I don't mind having to walk part of Windy.

    Root drop has an alternative, and I use it. I walk my bike down. did it yesterday. Of course I had to walk up the first climb on Windy. It was pure mud and water running down the rocks from somewhere.

    Nobody should be doing this at all. There are people that spend a LOT of time and effort to manage/perform upkeep and they should be the ones doing it if it's decided that it's needed. If the trail is too tough, go somewhere else.

    I have never used a lift and have climbed a LOT over the years. If a lift had been available, I would have used it at times.

    Seriously, I flipped close to 1000 musical instruments over a 15 year period but finally gave it up last year. People are a flawed design.
