TheX
Now that people have realized that the WuFlu Infodemic was overblown, and they are out in force again...riders at Walnut seem to have forgotten that the trails are bi-directional, and MULTI-USE. There are people walking/hiking/running, kids, and dogs off-leash. There are places to ride that are more MTB centered, and they can be ridden with less chance of injuring, or just pissing off people. I rode out there yesterday, and hiked with my ON-LEASH dog this morning, and even before 8am the place was packed. Riders were flying through blind areas that are pretty heavily traveled by people hiking. Please be careful out there, and help promote a healthy, and happy coexistence. There is enough stupid shit going on, we shouldn't be adding to it.
WatersPark
I hear you. Afternoon in the summer it usually is pretty empty and the people on foot seem to stay off the more bikey trails. I figure anyone that hikes up power line is new to the park (or enjoys frustrating lovers of flow). I had just rolled the drop off Tar Branch last weekend to find 4 hikers in the middle of the next turn heading towards the drop. Fortunately, I slowed in time, I imagine they turned around when they got to the drop.
bestbike85
Same can be said for Brushy. This morning I rode to red horn for an 8am coffee and on my way back through the place was crawling with people walking 4-5 wide paying zero attention to anyone else out there. Cafeend
As it has always been just exaggerated now. Go at sunrise. Go near dusk. Find the alternate entrances to avoid the masses. Explore new places.Or hydrate like a mofo and hit it in the heat of the day no one else will be out. Tree Magnet
Night riding for the win! Pick up a cheap set of lights and try it. Super fun. Same old trails fee totally different. Plus, you always know when someone is coming at you.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yup, one of my many sayings: "It's all new trail at night" Edited June 8, 2020 by The Tip
