  1. Cool! It's such a rad little town. Lots of MJK options there. Next to Bisbee, Jerome is one of our favorite AZ stops. The Jerome Grand hotel is supposed to be super haunted too. Currently in southern Arizona for the next 10 days and gonna hit up the southern wine country while here. Lastly, glad to see you're still alive 😎
  2. Northern AZ is always a nice place to demo a bike. We'd also hit up Jerome AZ while there. IMHO way cooler than Sedona. Especially if you're a Maynard Keenan fan.
  3. Congratulations man! After riding @Chief bike, the rascal was on the top of a very short list when I lived in Austin. The Canfield suspension platform works so well out there.
  4. Trek Factory DH just did the same
  5. Bad thing is it's not just the camps that need removing.
  6. There's going to be a large loss in viewership next season for sure. They'll bundle it with all the other crappy sports stuff so it will buried during the shareholder meetings. Agree that eventually it wont make sense economically for them to carry on hosting and broadcasting the events. My fear is what damage will be done by then. From what I understand one big production movie broke even this year. One. Big media is dead, and I can't wait for the funeral.
  7. Its dead. You now need to have Max and then add the sports package to watch DH racing. Minimum cost will $19.98 and $25.98 per month to watch racing. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/world-cup-racing-coming-to-max-as-999-add-on-in-2024.html
  8. Riders will buy used E-bikes and will need aftermarket support. Just like the current bike market. All it takes is a demand, which there inevitably will be, and the aftermarket will create the product. Seeing these new developments come out is encouraging. My point on Fezzari is I can now buy an E-bike frame with powertrain and swap all my other components over off my regular bikes. That's a win and will hopefully catch on with other brands, making owning an ebike more of a possibility to a lot more riders that want one. With professional Enduro on its way out, and E-enduro taking over there will be a surge of development, at least for a short time until people don't tune in to watch, or show up to the races. You can thank the UCI for that.
  9. No. I worked in operations management for the nations largest used car dealer for a decade. Dealt with production capacity and quality control.
  10. I think my point is, it's good someone is starting to address the need for aftermarket support with e-bikes. Fezzari is now selling frame/motor only options and hopefully others will follow suit. It has to start somewhere. https://fezzari.com/pages/build?bike=timp Lastly. As someone whos worked in the auto industry for 30+ years, I can say that the Germans are far from killing it when it comes to quality.
  11. Hit the nail on the head. The greenwashing and virtue signaling these days makes me want to vomit. Overconsumption is the main issue and altering that would hurt our consumer based economy. Shit isn't gonna change in our kids or grandkids lifetimes. Pessimistic old man rant off. On a positive note, there's a little good news on the Ebike front: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/intra-drives-combined-motor-and-gearbox-fits-bikes-designed-for-shimano-ep8.html
  12. Austin will eventually drive anyone insane.
  13. Curious. Do the trail signs (markers) warn against riding when wet? I couldnt see in video. They most likely arent local and beyond erosion, have no clue how miserable it is to ride in CTX when its muddy. ***Edit: IG looks like he's from Waco. Confirmed dipshit***
  14. He might also be living rent free in you head 😁
  15. Yeah it's nuts. The difference in opinion between kerr and bruni is something else.
  16. Hopefully this will provide a push for a new series sans the UCI. pretty interesting listen if you have the time https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/year-later-world-cup-downhill-racing-better
  17. Their shuttle SL is an awesome bike and would be my first pick if we hit the lotto. 🀣
  18. This could be fun. Thanks! Will have to check it out the next time in CTX
  19. This exactly^ Nano and small neighborhood breweries will survive the impending storm. The ones that are smart have basically built a brewery version of Cheers. The mid sized ones, trying to distribute, that need a constant stream of cheap loans will drown as small fish in a big AMBEV pond. Also seems every other brewery that tried to operate in the beer DMZ that is metric, has failed. That area is certain death. As far as Oskar blues goes. There's no love lost. Giant facility and taproom that offer the same mediocre beers you could buy at HEB. Yawn Heart goes out to the employees that showed up to locked doors. Had that happen to me more than once.
  20. Finally got out for a ride yesterday and felt like i was back in Virginia. Almost 500ft of climbing in 1 mile to get to the main connector. Views of El Paso, Juarez and New Mexico were worth it though.
