  1. I met a guy from Waco Sunday to sell some MTB shoes. He was probably 50. I put my mask on as I got out of my truck. He was walking up and as he got pretty close he said I guess I should put my mask on. Then he said he had already had COVID so he didn't need to worry about it.
  2. This is awfully tasty. I really try to keep it local though. Turns out this is part of the growing Oskar Blues conglomerate, which is a negative for me. But, it may still be part of the rotation.
  3. Yep, only approaching a measly 1/2 million so far. No need for anyone to inconvenience themselves.
  4. We are actually part of a global corporation (5k+). The Austin management seems to get it but we take orders from Corporate. Our CEO hates WFH.
  5. Even though we didn't miss a beat transitioning during our busiest month ever (March) and have been extremely successful in moving virtually our entire fairly large office (300ish employees) home, our company is aggressively trying to get everyone back in the office in phases starting after July 4th. We just recently moved into an open office environment with exactly 6' between most employees and only chest high walls. I am curious what other companies are doing or planning to do in the short term for these types of businesses that can be effectively done remotely. Things are obviously subject to change but I am curious what others are hearing/seeing at this stage.
  6. I liked Grindstone Lake. Typical mountainous XC riding. Was last there 3 years ago. 27 mile route with about 3000' climbing. I'd do it again for sure. Lake to swim in afterwards.
  7. A Hops n Grains Lupulin Rodeo IPA sure tastes good immediately after 4 hours on the BCGB:
  8. Well, please give us a trip report! I so want to get out of town. At least today I actually put the bike in the truck and hit the BCGB versus riding to the ride on all the Northside stuff. 😐
  9. On the gravel section by Peddler's I saw a boy about 6-7 shredding along with the fork on backwards. I asked the man walking along behind if it was his son, he said yes but his English was not good enough to understand what I was trying to explain. I tried to use gestures but I'm not sure he got it. I'm sure that kid will think his bike handles a lot better if pops figures it out.
  10. I have been tempted to stop by a head shop and look for one of those gas mask bong setups. 😎
  11. Seemed kind of odd when bikes and motorcycles went away from fork boots. My first fork (Mag 21) had the accordion boots and later Lizard Skin covers, The upside down forks seemed like a step further in the wrong direction. I suppose the materials/coatings have hardened to the point it is not a major concern. Still seems kind of risky.
  12. I used Fontaine. I believe it is basically a one man operation, although two (helpers/contractors?) did the basic install and he did the tuning. I have called him before with an old A/C and since and it was always him I dealt with on those occasions. Pretty down to earth guy. My house is pretty small, so I didn't need a big system. Looks like a 3 ton 16 seer Goodman (which are fairly low end but supposed to decent these days) for right at $5000 complete with furnace. And correct on the warranty. I don't believe he told me about registering and by the time I was looking through the paperwork some time later I noticed that caveat and did not double my warranty. That sucks. https://www.yelp.com/biz/fontaine-air-conditioning-austin
  13. Another thing to look for is ants. They are attracted to the electricity and one time the ant bodies started piling up in mine and prevented contact. https://www.championac.com/blog/keep-ants-out-of-your-air-conditioner/
  14. Yeah I got in a little over 2 hours before logging in. Rolled at 7:19am. Good stuff.
  15. Thanks for taking those. I saw that too and considered taking a picture but they were actively loading up a FULL 30'? long dumpster. I did thank them and applauded them. The 'residentially-challenged' folks need to learn to pack it in - pack it out!
  16. Sweet! I have a Fox 36 Boost, just looked and saw the bolt holes.
