  1. So Brushy is too wet to ride but the race at Peddler's Pass is a go? 😐
  2. NYE BDay? Sweet! Edit - not sure how I botched that with a double post but I blame it on Jellyfish and Bogel.
  3. Thanks for the nudge to try it out again John. Looking back, it has been 10 years since I have been. I had pretty much written it off. And thanks @AntonioGG for the Garmin file. I gave up trying to follow it exactly pretty quickly as the front area of the main trail system is such a spaghetti bowl cluster, it got frustrating real fast. I reverted to my normal routine on a complex system like that and just rode for the first hour or so taking whatever looked like the best option at the time. Once you eddy out of that area it it much easier to navigate. I left your course going on the screen and would hop back on eventually after I got off track, although I think I was going in the opposite direction some of of the time. It definitely looks like the bulk of the work is going into the jump line area, and while gaps are the last thing on my list, the berms and smaller jumps and tabletops are pretty awesome. Signage seems to be somewhat improved but still quite lacking if you aren't familiar, I hate the 'maps' painted on the pallets and basically ignored those. I ended up with 25 miles and pretty close to your route Antonio, but there is definitely trail not on your route or MTBproject and some stuff I know I missed. Will definitely move it into the rotation a bit, maybe more so when other stuff is wet. Oh, and I found the perfect sized table top for me: heh
  4. Any recent beta on the state of things out there? I have only been a couple times and it has been a few years so I may almost be starting from scratch. I usually get discouraged when reading recent reports and go somewhere else, but hoping the 'full time' trail builder is making good things happen.
  5. I was there the day before yesterday and as far as I could tell nothing has been lost yet but there is new construction immediately adjacent to some of the loops. I only took a couple (pretty lousy) pics but they capture some of the spirit. Glad to knock it off the bucket list after knowing about it for decades, but it isn't one of my favorite trail systems in the area.
  6. Day 2 in the open office. Probably 250 people in a 65k sf space. Maybe 50% masked when walking around. Maybe 10% at most masked at their desk. 2 people in the group next to me are about 8' away with no physical barrier. Neither wears a mask. I have managed to wear a mask all but about 20 minutes. I need computer glasses so they tend to fog a bit. I have been snacking outside at the truck. It appears our CEO is the only one forcing this, all the rest of the chain has some sense. It doesn't even make sense from a business risk perspective, much less talent acquisition and retention standpoint. Quite a few people have bailed already. Instead of 'collaborating' like they want us to, I have been avoiding all but my very favorite people. My productivity and morale are very low. Ugh.
  7. Was supposed to go back to the open office 7/26, I got a 2 week extension but they are moving full steam ahead and want to be back to 100% by late August. Since there are no orders or laws against it, everything the CDC, city, county, etc. are saying are 'just things for us to consider'. No real mask or distancing requirements. I pray our Exec's come to their senses.
  8. This kind of thing belongs anywhere and everywhere.
  9. Thanks. In the past I have just had it sent in through BSS. After reaching out to some shops it appears the Rockshock/Brain units need to go to Specialized but quite a few suspension shops work on the Fox/Brain unit, which is what I have.
  10. Anyone have any recommendations for a Specialized/Fox Brain rear shock service? AFAIK there are no local service options. A year or so ago 812 was planning to get the tools to do the service but that doesn't appear to be an option any time soon. I am considering sending it to Risse.
  11. Yeah, this place is awesome, easily worth 2 days. Good camping, showers and NF nearby for free dispersed camping.

I just saw it for the first time today doing what I basically always do.
  13. Some higher power must hate us. ☚ī¸
  14. Hang out, drink beer and educate any douches that show up and ride in the mud.
  15. I do like Grindstone Lake, haven't ridden the stuff closer to town.
  16. Unfortunately I think you have nailed it. Cloudcroft was the centerpiece of my first 3 trips to real mountains back in the mid to late 90's. Sadly, little has changed. Seems like it is still mainly the High Altitude Race Course and the Rim Trail and the latter is pretty moto/ATV'd out. Better chances in the Ruidoso area, but that is still far from top shelf. Sucks because this area has serious potential and is about as close as Bentonville but has a real mountain climate, bears, elk, etc.
  17. Summit County (Breckenridge/Frisco area).
  18. This section is called Pick Up Sticks.
