  1. The transition in the picture from the right side where that dude is to the left side and then the beautifully harsh left down is something else for sure. wow, great job
  2. By the way.. the transition is scary with that thing Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  3. Wall ride and far right drop
  4. Kind of strangely cool when my teen daughter comes home tonight and starts showing me pics of Snail Trail on her IG and TikTok. She isn't even a biker and it somehow fell into her world because its cool and she wanted to show me and asked if I knew of it. Girl if you only knew... Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  5. Wait.. doesn't that whole area flood? Just a couple years ago there was bad flooding right? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  9. Sounds to me like this is an awesome adventure and you guys will make some great memories. You will get a ton of advice but it is based on the experiences of the person commenting, doesnt mean you need to haul all your possessions with you though. When my kids were younger and we traveled to where ever we almost always took too much stuff we thought we needed and just never used. In the end we did not need all that crap. After a lot of miles and trips we learned to travel simple and no one cared. Live in the moment without the creature comforts or trappings of life. The basics will get you by fine. And Yea ,, report back this sounds pretty cool.
  10. I can use them please Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  11. My T Handle hex set are invaluable to me. I second the torque wrench. Chain whip. A good stand because crappy ones are no fun. Figure out what you need to pull apart your BB and get that specific tool since there are different kinds. Once you get rolling you will know what you actually need and not need. 12. Fixed It This is such a simple solution. Road trip - day one is go to somewhere near sea level. You tell her you have a reservation for a week. Then, before you leave have a buddy call you pretending to be the resort to say the resort had to close due to 'Rona. Tell you are so sad she couldnt get her way, even make yourself get a little teary eyed. Then goto New Mexico.
  13. I've always been confused with the carbon paste. I read it isnt needed but also it is Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. If you look through here https://cedarparkatlas.com/ there is some great data and if used in conjunction with the Wilco Tax site you can see there are a lot of owners who own what we ride in SN. Not shocked and I personally dont see the area that we use freely as a long term place to ride.
  15. You know some of the predicted rain over the weekend would have been nice on the trails today. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. I agree with AB and Mac. SS is alot of fun and I rarely need or miss gears. I took my HT and lost the gears after 1 ride and went 32x19. I've since move to 32x16. It is great on the trails. Got bored and added the drops and switched to mechanical brakes. Bike is so much more fun to ride. So simple to maintain and experiment with. The drops I chose are wider than most and I get less fatigue on longer rides. I still have the flat bar and stem intact with the brakes attached so I can easily swap back if I ever want. Fun project and I am super pleased to get away from the norm to change things up. Ride it alot at BC but it's at home all over something like SN Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  17. I love her Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  18. This was such a hit that everyone wanted to do this again. My wife had done Crepes (she is a Celiac - so everything is Gluten Free that is made ) Son made pasta carbonara for lunch , I did blackened Mahi for dinner and my daughter made creme puffs for desert. We drew straws again and this Monday we are doing this whole deal again, Shocked that the kids are diving into this and not half assed either, they are into making some cool stuff
  19. So are Sagnostics always bouncing through whatever gets in their way?
  20. Right, and Pulisic is on fire now
  21. I ended up pulling the old headset. Bottom bearing was fine. Upper had the very slightest play , maybe a half MM is all. I went ahead and got a Wolftooth Headset. You can mix and match so I went Premium on top and Performance for the lower. Installed with a press and it was so easy. Did a quick 7 mile ride at SN last night and it was a very noticeable difference. I had no idea that something like a headset that when it works you dont think of but when it is somehow off it can make a ride janky. Thanks for all the advice and education.
