  1. Austin girl gettin' it done son!!
  2. Webb was on pretty heavy rotation in the early 90s, and as a dirtbag gearhead, this one always stuck with me.
  3. Did you introduce him to the NY school of go f@ck yourself🤣 Had this happen to me when i lived in NM. Its just infuriating and makes me want to drag someone off the trail by their face.
  4. DH park derailleur failure. Spending the rest of the day chainless was a crash course in physics for sure😁
  5. X2 on the 481s DT Swiss seems to have the strongest aluminum hoops for their weight. Had a couple sets of DT with no issues. My buddy who's basically the seth buckgnar of utah has destroyed every hoop he's owned but DT. Stopped buying stans after the MK3 stuff came out.
  6. As an owner of "boutique" carbon wheels i can say they are not worth it, recyclable or not. The Revel 29s are listed 1840 grams for $2200 and one could build a good set of aluminum wheels for around 1900 grams for 60% less in cost. Save yourself the hand wringing of whether or not carbon is recyclable, and just don't buy it. BTW, I like Revel bikes and have nothing against them.
  7. 1st world version of the rickshaw. yay late stage capitalism 😒
  8. Cool to see the boys together again and killing it way into their 40s. Peaty heckling Warner was priceless. .....and still fast AF too (turn on the youtube subtitles for the lolz)
  9. Had two crashes at the DH park wearing the alpinestars armor. First was just a stupid slow speed fall down a hillside and second was at speed casing a big gap that bucked me into a wall. On both occasions I landed on my left side leading with my elbow, then shoulder. Walked away both times without a bruise and just a little tenderness at my elbow. Can't tell you how happy I was to have it, even if i look like the fake batman from the dark knight😆 Also, this gear is DH only gear and would be MISERABLE for general trail riding.
  10. 100% There was NO way i could keep my feet on the pedals on that jake without spds.
  11. Thanks. Boost should be 3mm instead of the usual 6mm. Need SS parts?
  12. stiil have? If it's 3mm offset I'll take it.
  13. This place is for real. Will have some pics and videos once we get back. Worth every penny and mile
  14. Weather took a turn for the worse here and is clearing in Arkansas. Trip is back on🤘
  15. agree on this and also they have the sales/resources to build a placemarker ebike to get that box checked. its still hideous looking though
  16. Think the Gform would be a better choice for trail riding and you can grab them for 10-20% off if you look around.
  17. im all about the trough of disillusionment 😁
  18. You should start posting on pinkbike like you do here.
  19. This. I could always tell what hype was being pushed every time i walked into BSS on lamar and saw whatever was front center on the riser. For a while it was fatbikes, then FS fatbikes then salsa rep showed up with their 27 & 29+ FS bikes telling me that they set new KOMs on strava with these plus bikes *rolls eyes*. Last thing on riser were e-bikes. Now there is no riser and the store is almost half the size it was. Shops are shrinking and dying left and right, so not sure how their strategy is working out for them. There has actually been discussion of the disappearance of the fatbike as it's considered even less practical than a full DH rig. If I still lived in snow country, I might have one to ride with my buddies, but we usually went south to the desert for the winter. friend in ut demonstrating proper usage of a fb
  20. Was at wheatsville on S Lamar this week and they had stillage and a few others on the shelf. TXkeeper hooked up with a distributor a year or so ago and now can be found in HEB, Specs ETC. If you try the stillage, lemme know what you think. Also, if you want some off the shelf boozy goodness, specs has this in stock and it is DAMN good. https://www.holidaywinecellar.com/p-28032-moonlight-meadery-them-little-apples-cider-can.aspx
  21. Nice! We end up there a couple times a month. Have you tried the Stillage yet?
  22. Got it. Size L fits me well and all in all, pretty comfy. Would NOT use this for std trail riding unless they make a SS one.
