  1. Not going to make it this time. New obligations have emerged for the afternoon hours.
  2. I like right there close to you and grind gravel weekly. I’ll pm you.
  3. Just finished up a big exploration loop on SN and the church trails. That jump line, which is not yet really finished, is nuts. Unfortunately my strava didnt pick up my signal so in 2.5 hours it said I rode 0.2 miles. Fortunately I ran into @Tree Magnet and his buddies. Good day and amazing weather.
  4. Saturday night Old Fashioned(s): a tutorial your ingredients are: Bulleit Bourbon Angostura Bitters Angostura Orange Bitters Simple syrup Orange Cherry Large surface ice cube The process: 1/2 teaspoon simple syrup 2 dashes bitters 2 dashes orange bitters 2oz bourbon *mix* 1 large ice cube 1 slice orange peele (spun out over glass to release oils) 1 cherry (I’m out of Luxardo, so your standard poor man cherry will have to do) Enjoy
  5. This is true. They did cap the waitlists for all distances pretty low, so I’m thinking they may just dump them into the pack in the coming weeks. It’s money just waiting to be made. We’ll see.
  6. I may be down for this. Hate to drive all that way alone. Anyone setting up some carpooling?
  7. Filled up in less than 2 hours! I was occupied with work and ended up on the waitlist. Pissed! Anyone here get into the field?
  8. I saw it at HEB yesterday. Excellent beer. Right up there with Stone Xocoveza as one the the best cold weather beers on the market IMO. Unfortunately, they’re priced accordingly to that which forces me to limit my intake of them every winter.
  9. Four Roses Small Batch with the first gumbo of the year. I’m a coonass from south Louisiana, so these 50 degree nights you best believe I’m pulling out the pot.
  10. No suspension here. I just dial in the pressure on gravel king 700x43s (soon to be 700x50s). That’s a lot of volume to eat up the small stuff and still roll fast.
  11. How have we not acquired detailed pics yet?
  12. 58 degrees and not a cloud in the sky at Pedernales Falls SP this morning.
  13. Happy with how these turned out. I’ll report back with an update after a couple months of riding.
  14. Damnit. I just landed from a quick 2 day trip to Denver. Was hoping to ride in the morning, but guess I’ll grind some gravel and hold off on the big bike until Sunday.
  15. I snagged a pair based on your recommendation, along with a pair of ESI Extra Chunks grips to give them a whirl. Should be here next week.
  16. Finally found the boat over at the Church trails this morning, but I can’t find this elusive jump line to save my life. Any tips on getting around that place?
  17. Just found this bottle about 1 minute into Peddlers. Claim it at the trailhead.
  18. Was able to hop on a Scott Genius 29er this morning for a quick 5 mile loop. Fun bike. I just sold the exact same bike a few months back in the 27.5 wheel size so it was nice to ride the same bike in the bigger wheelsize. They charge an arm and a leg for their bikes, but they sure are spec’d nicely.
  19. To be fair, I do this with fully built and capable bikes.
  20. Taking the bike off the market. Too much time, effort and money invested into it to get laughable offers (not here, but via craigslist). I have decided to build up a 27.5 rear wheel and run the bike mullet style. See you on the trails.
