  1. So I recently picked up a partly broken 1UP rack from a friend who was in a car accident. The bike rack was pretty banged up, but with some finagling I was able to piece together a near complete 1 bike rack from the 2 bike rack I received. I was hoping that if someone else had an old broken rack laying around or recently got in an accident with one (hope you are ok) that I could take it off your hands in hopes of scavenging it for parts rather than it winding up in the trash. I would rather bring an old rack back to life than just buy a new one or buy new parts. Thanks in advance!
  2. Ill let you win here. I heard it is unwise to upset a wookie.
  3. Somehow based on your internet persona I cannot imagine you as being silent on a ride.
  4. I get it. I would not want to try and copulate with my wife if my son was riding his bike nearby.
  5. I talk about 80% of a ride if I am with someone and only shut up when descending or if I decide to really power through a climb. I find it odd to go on a group ride without the intention of talking. If I am out for a nature/mental health ride I will go alone so I can silently enjoy everything.
  6. To clarify it is not the chainring, but the crank arm that is coming loose. Its only that single bolt that holds everything on and it jut backs out on my harder rides at the GB.
  7. I did the same thing with a revelation. 450 all in and I had myself a charger damper pike. Not too shabby.
  8. Welp I either suck at following torques specs or it does not like being on a single speed then. JB weld here I come!
  9. I love the way the Cinch looks, but I have more problems with that thing coming loose on rides than anything else...Even with loctite that guy will still wiggle loose every few rides.
  10. Not sure about the Peddler, but alot of shops will offer a free tune up or 2 in the first year of riding. You may ask to find out. You may be able to get a solid adjustment and tightening of all the bolts. Wont include the suspension servicing most likely, but those are you usually not too expensive and I would highly recommend it. With a beer or coffee bribe you may even be able to hang out and watch to learn a thing or 2.
  11. I can attest to this. I have almost hit someone here when bombing and nearly been hit whilst running it...neither is good. Maybe a little branch trimming could fix this up a bit and increase visibility?
  12. I bought a 150mm Pike for my Honzo ST with the intent of lowering it to 130, but decided to throw it onto the bike anyhow and ride it around for a bit. After one ride I realized I loved it. Would I love more with less travel? Not sure, but the longer fork made the fork dive on a HT less noticeable and I really appreciated the higher BB and slacker HT angle it supplied. Its way too much fork (maybe?) for a SS, but amazingly it still pedals perfectly and man is it a blast to point downhill. I would say give a 140 a try, but I think where you will really notice a difference is in a stiffer stanchions. I weight a little under 160 and would not have thought I would notice a huge difference in a 32 vs a 34+, but when you are hammering away on some rock chunk you certainly notice a feeling of being more planted at feel more comfortable in your line choices.
  13. Lies. Minions for everything. You are not truly enduro every bike you own has minions on it.
  14. I was going to head out to Suburban Ninja to check it out tomorrow, but not sure what the trail is actually like. Think it should be dry by tomorrow or give it a few more days?
  15. I would try it with the purple first since there is alot of contact area the regular strength could be hard to get off later down the road. That being said I did this and had no problems with it other than struggling when it cam to removing it.
  16. Thanks! I will pass the word along.
  17. I know of a few people who are interested in volunteering for trail work here seeing as they ride here alot. Is there a more regular trailwork day throughout the month or is it on these larger calls? If so who should I get in contact with? Thanks!
  18. Semi conditions related question: Why do they no longer switch the direction of the trail anymore? I feel like the wear and tear was a little better when they were doing this...or maybe I imagined it. Either way, I really enjoyed how it changed the trail up and totally transformed it.
  19. I rode out there on my 110/130 this weekend and it handled everything like a champ. I dont think there is anything out there at the moment that is not easily handled by shortish travel 29er. Would a bigger bike add a bit more confidence? Yeah probably, but I hit every run at least 3 times and the double black 4-5 so I must have liked it.
  20. I like all of the above...should I just go die now?
