  1. It's fun to mix the two as well. Start on the SATN for some warm up miles, then let BCGB kick your ass for a while, and limp back home on SATN.
  2. Saw this today. Seems like a good deal for a commuter. https://austin.craigslist.org/bik/d/austin-trek-conduit-2016/6962380301.html
  3. When the title of the thread has nothing to do with the content of the thread... Then you know the thread doesn't really have much going for it...
  4. Hard to say. I only looked at the pictures of dogs wearing cute little vests.
  5. I live walking distance from this place and have never been. Guess I should make it a priority.
  6. Yes, I left out some of the more obvious details like blacking out the rear windows to protect candy from direct sunlight and combining cargo space (max candy load) and comfort by replacing rear seats with a mattress.
  7. Step 1: Buy van Step 2: Fill van with candy Step 3: Make new friends by giving candy away for free Step 4: Become adored by all
  8. In my experience, a camera is the most dangerous piece of equipment you can wear.
  9. Taking out spacers is a super easy 5-min job, and 4 is a lot. I've found that I like a less progressive fork. I could be wrong here, but my thought is that my favorite fork that I ever had was a Fox Vanilla coil. Coils are known for being plush and more linear. Less volume spacers should make an air fork feel plusher and more linear, right? Also, I'm about your same weight. To me, it's always seemed like the guys who like super progressive setup with lots of spacers are either bigger, ride more aggressively, or both.
  10. I drives my wife mad when I call chickens "The Yardbirds." She has very little tolerance for me.
  11. Did you see the shipping on the Surly? $200!? It's not the sexiest of the bunch, but that Marin does look pretty sweet at that price, especially if it qualifies for the "free shipping over $50".
  12. "Give it a whirl" Ha! Don't act like you haven't been training your whole life.
  13. You may want to check out IKEA's kitchen options if you haven't. (I know you said IKEA, but specifically their "custom" kitchen cabinets - not closet options) I designed, assembled, and installed my kitchen cabinets for a small fraction of the custom cabinet quote that we got. It's all soft close doors and lots of cool little storage features. If I had a mudroom or laundry room, I'd probably go this route too.
  14. I'm buying 'em yet, but just to play devil's advocate, I'd go back to tubes if (and these are big ifs) they offered the same or better puncture resistance, could be run at tubeless-level-low pressure, and were lighter. Plus, better protection against sidewall cuts and NO MORE REFILLING SEALANT!!!!
  15. I have, but it was the last stop on a brewery tour, so the details are pretty hazy. It was one of the better stops IIRC.
  16. I've been collecting DNA samples for your database for years now. I put them in little green bags next to the trail. Have you not been collecting them?
  17. It was a good trio because they all had distinctly different personalities. My favorite was the Mama Tried. It's the most classic west coast style IPA of the bunch. Can-o-Bliss is a good hazy IPA, but I get a little tired of the hazy stuff sometimes. The Brew Free or Die! IPA Blood Orange was a little orangey for my taste. Super refreshing for a hot day on the lake, but it's no coincidence that I had the most of those left over.
  18. I picked up this trio for a trip to the lake last weekend. *There were 6 of each plus plenty of Lone Stars. Lucky I made it home with enough to stage the pic.
  19. Sometimes I wish there was a heart eye smiley reaction on this forum.
  20. Listening to some of those Canadian skiers sounded a lot like the current e-bike discussion. "I don't understand them and don't want to share."
  21. Nice. I got the aging whiskey in the barrel part, but didn't get that the beer was just for conditioning. Now that you've invested in the oak barrel, don't ever let it sit dry. By bro-in-law left one dry for just a few months and it cracked. It's hard to age whiskey when it leaks out in 30 seconds.
