  1. I'll plug again the movie about The Runaways: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1017451/
  2. Report that construction fence on the 311 app. I love exploring. I'm with you, too many roads in east Austin have a certain combination of absolutely no shoulder (even grass to ride on), high traffic, and bad drivers.
  3. My live oaks are definitely stressed, but it's the not dropping leaves that did them in. The huge cedar branch was definitely rotting at the y where it broke and some oak branches had burrows at the break.
  4. For those with lost significant branches, have you taken a close look yet? Other than the Hackberry, the branches I lost had some rot, or were from a tree that is diseased/stressed.
  5. What, is this Reddit.com/r/Austin?
  6. Worse here also. We escaped major tree damage last time. Because of construction on our backyard and wanting to add solar panels at some point, we had the arborist and the company do what they needed for the trees that needed help, and we trimmed a bunch off our cedar elms close to the house. I wondered if much colder temps make the branches less flexible and hence the leverage is not as much? this is our largest hackberry. Far from our house thankfully. It’s a big trunk.
  7. I've got a new chain for my chainsaw, probably need more bar oil, and will sharpen some of my other cutting tools. Will start with the small stuff in my yard/driveway (have some giant branches still hanging I'll call the pros for) but will move to my neighborhood trail after that, then other trails as the trail work posts pop-up.
  8. Y'all remember this? https://www.theverge.com/2016/2/2/10892588/pro-cyclist-caught-motor-bike
  9. Translation: Hello Elias ask about cable guides. Now complete that j/k đŸ™‚ My interpretation based on how Spanish speakers translate grammar to English is that he's now completed the cable guides.
  10. I get that from people in mountainous regions. "you mountain bike? Where are the mountains?"
  11. We should probably call it Lunar New Year since more than just China celebrates it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_New_Year There's a big Asian influence in Peru. Self-reported by population not much, but culturally quite a bit of influence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_Peruvians
  12. Not MTB but it is off-road. I watched the race this weekend and I’m still watching this last lap, catching new things on every viewing.
  13. Peddlers! It was my kids' favorite when they used to ride.
  14. Pearl Izumi Quest road shoe size 45. used maybe 10 times. Free. Sent me PM.
  15. It is. If you're riding on the sticks posted above, you've missed the alt line. Super easy to miss at night but very obvious during the day.
  16. Wow! That alt line is awesome!
  17. Totally thought of you when watching a tech zone article about Australians embedding LEDs into sidewalks/crosswalks so people looking at their phone while walking can easily see the signal. It was a case of a problem that would sort itself out eventually as well.
  18. I have pressure treated 4x4s I can donate.
  19. So the proper solution is to build a ladder right?
  20. I finally got around to reading some Ursula K. Le Guin. Started with The Left Hand of Darkness. It's very good so far (I'm a slow reader, I think a lot of people could finish this in one sitting...)
