We've been having good success for the past 2 years with the silly Amazon Shenkey on the helmet paired with a Lumina 1100 on the bar. But I've been jealous of everyone with Outbound lights. And damn it....with this Black Friday deal, I just had to go and buy the DH package for 2. The Shenkey will probably still get road duty, but I'm not yet sure what I'm going to do with the also baller Lumina 1100 lights.

Looks spectacular! Where can I find it? -
Here is a link to that post: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1686726081631550/permalink/2701766173460864/ And a link to their waiver: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5fb53b72c809c/web/

Their hours are so limited that is hard for me to get there for a decent ride. Maybe @Jessica and I will give them a try sometime though. They post their odd hours on their FaceSpace though and it looks like you're GTG on Sunday.

You tell me. I've never bought Templeton myself because IMO it's effectively a liqueur instead of a whisky. It contains what they call "alcohol flavoring agents" (whatever that means) so they can presumably match some prohibition era whisky style. This is kind of reminiscent of some Canadian whiskies which by law can can have a small additive flavoring agent, like juice or chemical flavor additives, for example. US law does not allow this if the bottle has the word "bourbon" on it with no qualifiers (like "bourbon with...") or any whiskey with the word straight on it with no qualifiers. They were sued in 2015 because of their labeling practices and they had to drop some of their claims on the label. The unmolested whiskey in the bottle is produced by MGP in Indiana and there are scores of better (IMO) examples of this whiskey on the shelf. I've said it before, but you can't throw a baseball at a random whisky shelf in the US without breaking a bottle of "craft" whiskey that is actually just sourced from MGP...not that there is anything wrong with that. But each bottle will have a story on the back about their great-uncle's grandfather who distilled in their basement at the turn of the century. Some of it is actually good stuff though. -
Right. Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

Perhaps they formed a new protestant group?

AKA the land of 500 never used concrete tables. Or at least it's a contender for that tittle, although with OC Fisher Lake. Fun trails though.

And when you see things you can't un-see them. And going with the "name them the shape they are" concept, does anyone have a new name suggestion for Endo? Perhaps @AntonioGG can supply a colorized version?

I've always known that as Doghead Trail. Because look at it. But I've heard it called Elvis. The official name is far less interesting though...

I suppose Sandy Creek in Llano is generally considered a non-navigable waterway--presumably because there is no water much of the time anyway, and when it is there is is very shallow. I had what I thought was a the spectacular idea of fat biking Sandy Creek during the driest part of the year. But then I noticed a lot of the creek bed was populated with no trespassing signs, and there are even fences across the creek bed in spots.

Strava didn't kill Chardog. The official map did. It's "Powerline Flow Trail" and "Ski Hill Flow Trail." And as if that wasn't enough...

There are roads that bother me, but certainly not 360. I feel pretty good with a full lane for a shoulder.

@Jessica was over there as well this morning and mentioned it. But then she said whatever was going on, appeared to be over by about 10:30.

Walnut is fine except probably Marks' Art still. I'll be there.

They mix up the parks each time. Last year they didn't even have NorthShore!

A part of Texas that you're ridden that I haven't. Congrats!

The Washington Post did an article on this trail! TLDR: "You might die." https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/travel/colorado-mountain-biking-palisade-plunge/2021/11/04/a017b6ae-3759-11ec-9bc4-86107e7b0ab1_story.html

Sister Grove is pretty close. I rode it during Judgment Day this year, and It's a fun little trial. A bit rooty, but not too bad.

It took me a while of clicking through his profile, but I finally found it: https://www.strava.com/activities/5175866201

The only person I know to have done it said they were absolutely terrified of the exposure.

That'll get you 1 hour and 20 minutes ride time!

It looks awesome. But $700,000 and only a 40 minute/40 mile range? This isn't the next ebike. Hell, this isn't even the next Segway. I imagine this will go about a far as the Ford Nucleon. I suppose I could see a case for it as a commuter, but it just seems too short of a use cycle to use for recreation.

I get several thousands of miles and a dozen or so removals out of the 11sp SRAM PC-X1 "single use" links. I only change them out when they get easy to remove by hand. Although I have had maybe 2 or 3 of them fail me during use...in about 25± thousand miles since going 11sp. And I pack several of them. It's an easy on trail fix.

@throet have you gotten over to Oak Liquor Cabinet? Add then to the rotation if not. That's the last place I picked up Willet Rye. And I'd bet they currently have Pikesville on the shelf. (Although maybe not since the Heavem Hill worker stike has slowed production.)
