  1. My wife would kill me if I had another bike in the garage! But PM me a price on this old tandem!
  2. Is that because the old trusty pamala handerson is back to its glory days?
  3. I think the heat problem was only happening on the guide R’s, not the RS’; but if you do end up having the problem throat (small Rubber part swells and your calipers won’t fully release after you release the brake, and starts at about 80 degrees out) SRAM will warranty fix them for free. That being said since I kept seeing post about how much better the Shimano brakes were I figured I would give them a shot and picked up a pair of ZEE's. For overall feel I personally prefer the SRAM's but don't hate the ZEEs and like the ease of bleeding the ZEEs.
  4. I’m confused! Do you get 100 pedicabs for $4500 or you can buy up to 100 for $4500 hundred a piece?
  5. Seems like a cool product. I think they would sell more if they sold 3 packs for ~$30-40. But hard to pull the trigger on 1 for 30 bucks when I could steri strip and head to the urgent care for $25 copay.
  6. Can I start a club that goes after the ash juniper like this! I would say they are the true zebra mussel of the tree world!
  7. Throet, just as a reference I raced spider on a 130mm 27.5+ bike and just built a 140mm steel hard tail and plan to ride everything out there on it!
  8. Don’t buy the HF 3 Gallon for seating tires! I had one a seated a few tires with it but normally takes a few blasts! The problem is after the first blast you have to wait 5-10 minutes before you can blast again. If it’s a stubborn tire rim combo you will want to put your head thru a wall! Bought a 6 gallon and combo presta/Schrader chuck with digital gage and HF 6 gallon and have had more luck! For normal tire inflation is a nice set up too and doubles for car use.
  9. I’ll be interested to see how many trails they can swing out there! Currently I do think the $50 bucks is steep for 4 1/2 trails, but I’m willing to give them business once a quarter to help fund there progress! Now if in two years it’s the same 4 1/2 trails I would probably be over it!
  10. That’s awesome! I just bought an aggressive geometry chromoly hardtail frame from orange out of the UK and have my build complete! Wish I could tell you how it rides, but between the rain and my wife deciding on a whim we needed to buy a new house I haven’t had it on the trail yet! To the casual eye your frames rear end looks nearly identical! Your HA is a degree slacker and that color is sweet!! What size fork will it run?
  11. Pm #honeybadger; #firstblood; #rugger
  12. Jealous of the new ride! As stated above I would call and likely they will offer something to you! Weather new fork or cash back. Call before you build it so if they want you to send the whole thing back. Likely they won’t want the hassle of restocking. I bought a bike direct sale that dropped $200 in price two weeks later and called and asked if I needed to send back and pay the $50 restocking fee to at least get $150 back and they kindly said please don’t do that and reimbursed me $200.
  13. I keep my stuff simple. Just like my brain! Just water for anything 1 1/2 hrs or under! If slightly over I toss in a cheap heb fruit and nut granola bars for the mix of simple and more complex carbohydrates. If there is a 3+ hour day I add PBJ sandwiches and oatmeal cream pies to the mix! Post ride during race weekend I pound a chocolate milk and Gatorade, then of course a beer or two for good health! Nothing but h20 hits my hydration pack! #mid-pack athlete
  14. Sweet! So if I ever can afford land, this is how I get my private trail built!!! Get a large group of mtbr’s excited about opening it up to them! Have them build it! Then last minute change my mind!
  15. I run 2.8 DHF front and 2.8 DHR in back. Maybe overkill and would have gone with aggressor back like my 29’s but I don’t think they make them in + size.
  16. I wonder if in a thousand years when some sort of super weapon is the norm, people will find old shell casings from a rednecks firing range and claim that no one should disturb this land because these are relics?
  17. Yeah, magnesium causes smooth muscles to relax, like the ones that constrict or dialate blood vessels! Also why it’s used as a laxative. As others have posted I had a DR tell me it’s important for something like 240 biochemical processes also.
  18. It will never be dry again! Think about selling my bike b/c by the time we can ride it’s going to be way outdated.
  19. I just bought got mine a few days ago and it was $50! So I’m going to need some new math. I didn’t even see the $39 dollar option! Story of my life, they make me pay more to join the cool kids club😁
  20. If anything good came from this discussion, it was the kick in my butt I needed to finally join ARR after months of good intentions! I will in the future join FR512 when my offspring become less needy and I have the time to ride trails that are farther than a mile from my house!
  21. I also wouldn’t try to pit ARR against 512! IMOP 512 is not taking anything from ARR. And the membership cost for both is so cheap relative to the cost of being involved in mountain biking in general, that if there is any debate in your mind you should just join both!!!!
  22. I wouldn’t say IMBA only supports XC trails. Have you seen some of trails the IMBA builders are doing in Arkansas!
  23. So I bought the one up dropper post and got it today. Was planning on installing with my ks southpaw lever! Slight impulse buy and didn’t read that the cable installs the opposite way of KS. Any one know a easy way of making this fit? I’ll probably end up buying the one up lever but wanted to try it out before the rain starts tomorrow!
  24. Would be cool if they had a affordable family pass! I think they are having rentals and a store. They also own thunder bird lodge which should generate revenue from lodging, boat ramp and boat rentals. Also i have been told (hearsay) they are planning to build the "Worlds largest" water slide from the top to the lake and build some climbing stuff out there.
