  1. I feel like there is a lot going on with this bike. Prostate massage saddle, brake levers but no brakes, big Fred saddle bag. Only thing missing is the behind the saddle triathlete bottle holders. It's also a Cinelli and not a Cervelo.

  2. Super easy bailout options, too, if one does overheat or just decide it's time for a beer.

  3. This is what I found in my bin: If you want to borrow these until you can get set up with the right ones, let me know. May also have the SS slider, but the hanger should not be an issue.

  4. It also has an adapter for post mount: I am not using it currently, it is a backup for my singlespeed in case I ever want to add gears. If you can use it until the PNW gets here, let me know.

  5. BBQ after the ride is probably better too!

  6. The left side has the wrong caliper mount for me, but I'm now positive of what I need so I'll go ahead and order from PMW, thanks though! It was actually under Hanger/Inserts-->Adjustable Dropouts. I had been looking under Dropouts-->Adjustable.

  7. Yuuuup. I rode it W-E. I got to the top of the climb before Truth or Dare and looked up and didn't even bother trying. That humidity + heat really takes it out of you.

  8. they are difficult to find on PMW the site because they make sliders, dropouts, and inserts. I've owned two frames with inserts like that- Vassago and Soma. (I think US-made Vassago frames like the Verhauen used genuine PMW sliders/inserts, but the Jabberwocky was a bit cheaper by using generic sliders and inserts.) I think both used IRD sliders, which are basically the same thing as the PMW sliders. they are not a perfect match, but they should work interchangeably. PMW will tell you they are not the same thing, but that's mostly because they want you to buy their product, but also because they are not exactly the same thing, even if they work together.

  10. This is where Walnut shines. No matter how hot it gets, I'm comfortable there. It's almost entirely shaded and doesn't need any power moves to further tax the heart rate in the heat. It makes it really great for early hot season acclimatization.

  11. Rode Rim, DD, Picnic, and 1/4 Notch this morning. Despite the oppressive humidity, it actually wasn't that bad out there between 8:30-10. I consumed around 50oz of fluids and stopped once to cool off. Also have discovered great value in carrying a face towel in my pocket this time of year, since there's never a dry spot on my shirt to wipe my face / goggles. It's amazing to me how long it is taking for some of the muddy spots to dry up! We've had several days with little to no rain, but I guess given the amount of rain we had over a period of a couple of weeks, along with the clouds and humidity, it's just going to take more time.

  12. Clyde’s maiden voyage. Sorry @RedRider3141 but it had been ordered for a couple of weeks already.

  13. In a later post the OP said he was looking in the wrong place. Sounds like the jumps are still there. Everyone who rides there is supposed to sign a waiver from the FR512 website. There's signage that says this, but I doubt many people read it.

  14. DD was fine but not ideal. Snail was a mess and needs more time to dry out. I didn't even try Rim. It's funny how you get on the bike at 6:30pm and head to the trail with the wind in your face flying down Little Elm. You're thinking, "this is going to be a sweet ride". Then half way through DD and you feel like you're in a tropical rainforest. You're now thinking to yourself, "why am I still sitting in the saddle with this feature right in front of me"? Still, you get through it, get home, slam a couple of Hopadillos, and have no regrets about getting in some exercise. Not sure I'll be doing it in Jul-Aug, but for now, life is good!

  15. Please, no one buy a new bike for a week. I have a friend coming to town and I took Monday off to go on a ride with him. Please.
