  1. I feel like I didn't discover cheap yellow mustard until my "adult" life and its a wonderful addition to ketchup.
  2. Have you tried contacting them. If you tell them it was damaged in a crash and you need several parts they might be willing to make a custom order.
  3. Sorry, @Yosmithy, the website that Seth posted is where I got that pic. However, I've worked with CAD for 13 years. Give me any part of that rack and I can measure/ CAD it up for you in a jiffy (for personal reasons only of course).
  4. I don't have any spares but is there any chance, you'll end up with an extra 2" Receiver? Either the whole assembly below or just the black portion (color doesn't matter)
  5. YES! Floods on occasion but some wood work can mintage that.
  6. Meh, there are some of us riding 10+ year old bikes by choice and some of us by necessity. If I had 3K to drop on a brand new bike I would. Either way I enjoy every minute on the trail with my 26'r.
  7. I carry a spare cable lock to lock the bike to my 1Up. The rack is also locked to my hitch. I actually saw this last night and thought it could probably be incorporated into the 1Up. (Patent Pending). It's a lock that GMBN showed on their Hacks and Bodges segment. A guy was using it to secure his bike in a panel van.
  8. I think of riding with friends like going to a movie. A few comments is alright but I'd rather discuss it at length over dinner/beverage afterwards. The riding time is mental floss, I want to focus only on where my wheels are going and push everything else out.
  9. I think it's highly trail dependent too. Brushy has 90% rock trails and 99% dirt trails.
  10. I just called Tim for my own older shock. He says yours is done!
  11. If you don't mind me asking how does your final build compare cost wise to a similarly spec'd bike from the LBS? Obviously for a custom frame you've got to be way ahead.
  12. An old Dirtbike trick, until wraparound hand-guards got popular was to put teflon tape between the lever clamp and bars. Helped them rotate a little more freely.
  13. I agree the strava times on a trail are highly questionable. It's pretty device dependant too. I use a FitBit that uses my phone GPS to track. If they don't have a good connection or my phone is buried too deep in my pack to get a strong GPS lock. I've even notice if I use another app on my phone that uses GPS it really messes up the FitBit/ strava route unless I force close the other app. I'll bring a stop watch next time and check.
  14. Insert Mojo'esque joke about goats and the wookie in an aquarium.
  15. I've got a bell like that, Its called a timber bell. It basically has an on off switch. Handy on fast/ blind two-way trails. I seldom use it, but handy when I do. https://reviews.mtbr.com/timber-bike-bell-review
  16. PM sent via FB. Looking forward to it thanks!
  17. All 4 fingers go numb. I can get the feeling to come back by relaxing one at a time and squeezing my grip but it slows me down a lot. I'll try adjusting the levers, thanks!
  18. I moved last year, the old house and new house was in the same neighborhood. This was the final load. I'm actually planning on using the trailer to carry a cooler and chair to the Peddler's Event. I'll leave the table saw at home though. Also, got me a bluebonnet pic with the HT.
  19. Did a lap this morning, Improved my time by a good chunk. My goal is to consistently be sub 20min by race day. I set both tires to 25psi this morning and the temp was perfect. A few things I got to work on: My Hands go numb about 12-15min in from my death grip. Got to relax a bit, maybe try ergon grips? I can't quite make it out of the creek bed heading West. I break traction right at the top and spin out. I've need to session the drop that parallels the creek a few times. I am still riding it right along that tree just like I did when the trail was revered. I think I can ride it faster if I stick to the middle. Maybe, stop snacking on cookies midweek so I'm not hauling around a spare tire on my ride...
