Kids bars (steel) , seats (rough) and 24" fork with 1-1/8" stem cut at 7.25" long. Tabs for disc or v-brakes. Light pitting on chrome. These are all items to get you by or as a spare. Until you find something better.

@AntonioGG is correct, my old phone/new cycle computer has active WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, etc. So the phone has regular internet at my house on Wifi, or I can make a quick Wifi Hotspot from my active phone if I needed to, but its not required for recording a ride. No 4G/LTE, however, it will still call 911 if I needed it to. Appreciate the offer, but I think the cell phone gets me closer to the features I want for riding than most of the dedicated cycle computers. I shouldn't be surprised but it seems like most of the computers are 95% geared towards roadies. Whenever MTB riding is mentioned its always "hang time" and vague references to "off road navigation".

I've been poking around at getting a cycle computer but was taken back by how much they cost. When I really started getting into it, I realized they also had a lot of features I (currently) could care less about. I realized what I really wanted was just a map and a way to record the ride. Then I came across the video linked below (thank the algorithm). TLDR: The guy uses a cheap, ruggedized cell phone without a service plant to run TrailForks in place of a computer. I figured it was worth a try, but since I already had a semi-recent cell phone just laying in a drawer (ok, maybe a few) I decided to just use that. $90 later in quad-lock mounts for my bikes and old phone and I'm in business. I've only tried it twice so far. Once just in my pack and once mounted on the quad-lock. So far I really like it. I think they major down side is kind of an upside. I trying TrailForks which is ok and allows me to download the entire Texas region to use offline. As most of you know TF doesn't have very complete/up-to-date trail data. SN is pretty good, BC is ok, Walnut looks ok but I haven't tried it yet. The upside is I can use any app I want to track my rides. So there is some flexibility. I follow the YouTubers suggestion and leave the phone in Airplane mode and set the screen to stay on all the time. Even with a 5 year old phone, after riding 11+ miles yesterday my battery was still at 40%. Good enough for my expectations. I say "cheap" because I am using a $600 cell phone in place of a $400-$500 computer but the cell phone is my old phone that's been laying in a drawer for 8 months and no longer had any purpose.

I still don't quite see where this fits in with the Toro Grande Extension as they intersect each other.

Finally rode a bit of it today. Granted it was after riding at SN and at a whim I decided to go north on Sam Bass instead of south to home. Currently most of the single track is very overgrown. 100% agree with everyone's descriptions above. I may go back one day and explore more of the east trails but in comparison, I like Behrens Ranch much better for mundane flat single track.

The weather was so nice today I went for a ride, came home washed both of my bikes and then made a rack for my rack(s). I sold the Yakima I had earlier in favor of 1up add-ons. 70% of the time I run my single rack, 25% of the time I run duals and 5% I run 3x.

Visites the Dr. Pepper museum today, saw this proudly displayed in one of the exhibits. I tried to tell them they assembled it wrong but they didn't listen.

The answer is almost always no...says the guy who upgraded his entry level hardtail beyond what it's worth too. I did some upgrades with the idea it would hold off upgrading to a different bike. It did not work, I upgraded anyway. I also kept both bikes and enjoy riding both for slightly different but overlapping purposes.

Thanks! I did not realize that! On this particular bike I've got a Microshift Advent 10spd that runs on a Shimano HG driver. I don't know if a 10spd cassette exists for an XD driver. So I'd have to swap it. But if the supply chain has it available then I don't mind that.

So I've been half-heartedly looking at FB marketplace for a spare wheelset but because I'm about a decade behind in understanding the standards I'm not sure how common the set I'm looking for is, especially in my price range. What I (think) am looking for: 29'r, Boost, Shimano 10/11 Driver 2.4" width capable. What I see: 29'r non-Boost 29'r Full Carbon (too pricey for me) SRAM XD Driver Does what I want commonly exist or is it more niche?

Varies by OEM. My '17 Toyota Nav was out of date ~10 years before they released it. Destination entry is a wretched UI, map data must be updated via $150 micro SD annually, Resolution is circa 2005, no Apple Carplay/Android Auto, overall absolute junk. Feels like the '93 Jurassic Park Ford Explorer Infotainment system whenever I attempt to use it.
