The Second Sign of the Apocalypse

I don't think you're part of the problem, but I believe this is at the root of some of our current issues. People interact less and less with real people and forget there are real humans coexisting with us. It's solipsism run amok. The R&I is the cure for our little community. More people need to have/form their own real people communities where people of all beliefs, races, orientation (political, sexual, etc.) can interact and see the humanity and treat each other with respect in spite of our differences. If anyone here watches Mythic Quest, you get to see an interpretation of what happens in a metaverse. I think the book of faces became a de facto warped metaverse and that spilled over into the real world. -

FTFY. This is completely endemic and permeates to all parts of society, riding, driving, walking, shopping, etc. -

How do y’all secure your e-bikes when running errands? -
I can see hypertext now, before I couldn't see them. But I just went to their website to check it out. Pretty cool trailers! Crazy how the difference between the small one and the biggest one is only 500-600lbs.

Yep, my wife was out and about just a bit ago and was in a short but significant downpour north of WC. Worst case with no R, where would the I happen?

EB your way to a proper trail…

My parents had a green Coleman metal cooler like that. He’d strap it to the roof rack on whatever station wagon we had at the time (Renault R5 or Datsun 510 wagon, can’t remember which). One time the kid wasn’t strapped and it blew off, some from there on, it had a nifty crafted EPS cover that actually worked very well.

will the trail be ridable tonight?

Real Ale Boom Box double IPA in the cup (highly recommend) and Old 300 pork loin and brisket on the tray (also recommend) at Real Ale in Blanco. Idiot me did not bring a cooler so I could bring back a bunch of their special limited edition brews! -
Meet Bella, our 10yo Schnauzer mix “foster” (who are we kidding…she ain’t going anywhere). Someone surrendered her to AHS, my wife was returning a cat trap and she looked (her mistake) and Bella was miserable there. I think she will be good to knock our Rat Chiwoxy Pekapoo spoiled brat down a peg.

Those things are great! I loved the joystick compared to the more modern ones. -

You'll have to load apps on wifi. @RedRider3141 mentions Airplane mode and show that on the screen, so that shows his particular phone's GPS works without cell service. It seems like you need a phone with reliable GPS+GLONASS instead of "GPS" through cell tower triangulation. I was looking at a $50 super tiny 3G phone, but I doubt it has built-in GPS, and now 3G are essentially bricks in the US. -

Yep, I was thinking about this and taking it a step further. It will probably take me months and cost me 5x what it would to buy a solution...but you know...engineers gotta engineer! 🙂 -

To clarify, I'm not lazy to recharge, but I'm looking to get back into long ride/race shape and in events like 24hr races I have to swap (not an issue b/c it's laps) but in things like Dragonslayer and the EB where these are <=12hrs, but in some cases you may require navigation, the battery life is an issue. -

I was hoping to see awesome battery life when I came to this thread. My old 705 would go about 17 hours before it ran out of battery. My 520 lasts a fraction of that even turning off the phone connection and not using navigation (those 2 things drain the hell out of the battery.) I'd love to find one with less features but longer battery life.
