  1. Haven't burned the house down yet.
  2. I posted this in the original mojo thread so I thought I'd bring it over here as I was pretty proud of this idea (credit Garage Journal forums). I embedded a Class III receiver tube in my work bench so I can now swap out between a bench grinder/wire wheel, and a bench vise. When not in use, both store neatly on the shelf underneath. It ends up being the perfect location for cassette removal, pressing bearings, cutting steerer tubes, etc.
  3. I thought about punching it, then decided to use a power saw. Ran a new 220 circuit to it, and the breaker panel is right next to the door of the garage. I leave the unit on max cold and just turn it on/off from the switch on the breaker panel when entering or leaving the garage. Usually takes about 5 min to get comfy in there during the worst of the summer heat. It's not energy efficient, but it allows me to work out there when I want to.
  4. Nice shop accessory in front of the bench grinder. 😉
  5. This is how I solved my airflow issues in the garage...
  6. Just got my new lighting installed... (I upgraded to an LED Edison bulb since this pic, soon to be paired with a dimmer)
  7. Remind me and I can bring some fresh, enriched white buns…for the burgers. I got a can of propane as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wait, what? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. They must not be selling very many if they need a racing series to prop it up.
  10. I’ve taken a shower everyday this week, probably better for society if I do that rather than save a bit of water. …and I’ve got two boys. The laundry is not stopping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I have an idea of why that's there although it's a poor solution to the problem. The ends of the axle (not the skewer) don't pass all the way through the dropouts. I've had the dropouts on an aluminum frame get worn down over time to the point that the inside surface of the dropout was notched by the axle so bad that the other half of the dropout was contacting the the skewer. The previous owner might have put the nut on to "recenter" the axle end in the dropout to avoid alignment issues and wear on the skewer. A nut doesn't really seem like the best way to solve that issue, but it could work in a pinch. Was this wheel used?
  12. They announce a public meeting the day it takes place? They sure want a big attendance. 😕
  13. Ride skinnies (curbs). I like practicing by riding from my driveway to my neighbors.
  14. Have you ever asked them point blank WHY those sentences keep getting left out? I kind of want them to just come right out and say it...they want to take access away. I really wish KXAN would do some muckraking on this group.
  15. Nothing like heading to Bentonville to make sure your ride is dialed.
  16. No, just no. I've seen worse though. At least the typeface matches the rest of the bike.
  17. Something will go wrong, 99% chance that fork will become a lamp.
  18. My comment wasn't so much criticism of watching sports, but more that I literally do not have the time to do so. One game pretty much takes out an afternoon. I find it hard enough to even find the time to get a ride in.
  19. Who has 4 hours to sit and watch TV? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I just updated to MacOS Mohave. This site looks even better now with Mohave's "Dark Mode"!
  21. So, when's their approval meeting? You guys are great at pulling their activities out in to the light. Thanks for hounding them!
  22. Not sure about gravel, but Sansom Park in NW Ft. Worth is worth doing. Nice amount of elevation with some steep climbs, but nothing all that technical.
  23. I work from home most days. It's a discipline thing. I'm literally lounging on the couch with my laptop all day. I gotta get up more, mix in some planks and stuff. ...and Chuck as long as it keeps my hands free to work, I'm interested to see what you come up with!!
