  1. With the sun and wind going like this I can understand why people thought it might be good to go. It looks like they got quite a bit less rain in South Austin so maybe they didn't realize how hard Brushy was hit. They also could just be turds.
  2. I cannot be a part of destroying a marriage. The line must be drawn. However, if they want to give it a shot, the non-rider of the relationship should steer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Now you’re seeing the vision. Take 25% of the purse from teams that don’t practice but 50% if they want to have some seat time. Charge 10% if they don’t practice and slam two beers. Take 5% if the stoker goes blindfolded. So many options here!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It's currently at $10 but once Cody sets his owners percentage, we should have teams of riders jumping in to try and win. Let's say each team tosses in another $10 into the pot and BOOM...look out KOM. I bet you could even talk to Endura Race and Todd might let them race the Tandem division for free assuming they are already registered.
  5. You could loan it out to teams with the expectation of taking a % of the purse. I think that there are business models around this.
  6. Don't we already have a couple of tandems out in the wild that might be willing to toe the line here? Maybe a better approach here is to see how much money we can put into a 'tandem winner takes all' cash reward pot. Assuming this doesn't break any rules, I'm willing to put $10 into that pot to see the winner. If only one tandem makes it, they win it. It would totally be worth $10 to me to see it. Anyone else want to chip in and see if we can entice a couple of teams?
  7. I think that the entry fee to the Peddler's Pass race is $45 or something. I'll pony up $10 to get the tandem into the race. Anyone else want to contribute? Maybe we could get a couple of them out there racing and have a special "Dude Canoe" trophy or prize.
  8. Walnut was dry as a bone tonight. Very strange actually. I thought it would be at least damp but it was like it didn’t rain there at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Windy and not too overcast just North of Walnut. Conditions should be hero dirt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I wonder if this rain will give them to opportunity to clean up some of those loose corners and blown out berms? Having 5 trails means they have less to focus on so they should make sure those 5 trails are perfect. I'll be giving them my $50 soon but I'd prefer to not donate any money to the Burnet emergency clinic.
  11. The only way to combat this rain is to buy a bunch of cold weather/rain gear and possibly a mud fender or some spike tires. That will guarantee the rain stops for at least a few months. PS. - Nice bike
  12. We don’t need to clear a tandem wide path do we? Stoked that the community stepped up and gave back to the trails and the stewards that have given so much to all of us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Rarely I have heard of anything involving pawn shops that doesn't seem sketch but maybe this is the exception.
  14. Definitely duck before you exit the chopper. Also, find a good way to tell the ground crew to ensure it has enough fuel....there must be a good saying for this.
  15. Did 45 miles of SATN today with maybe 2 miles of road or concrete path and the rest was sweet, sweet single track. Big thanks to Enrique for showing us around the Meridian trails. There is just so much fun trail out there and more keeps popping up. You guys have built something special. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Makes total sense to me and I can relate. I imagine my confidence would overtake my skill pretty quick out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I propose that we roll up on those concrete workers and offer to let them take a ride or two on Peddler's while we watch the concrete dry. Or...we could hit that 7-11 right there and offer them a cold beer. They have power tools and a permit to build trail! Could you imagine how fast those berms could get built with a little hydraulic power?!
  18. I couldn’t find this video but it sounds more entertaining than the promo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Okay - I watched the video for a bit because...bike vs. work. Anyway, that thing is ugly but not as ugly as one of those linkage forks. The video is awful but that chick is an awesome rider. The voice over makes me cringe and I have now officially sworn off ever buying a Marin. It was like they were playing a drinking game to see how many cool sounding engineering words they could put into 30 seconds that in no way translate to my wanting to buy their product. WTF.
  20. The public was compensated. All the riders that enjoyed that trail over the years are ‘public’ and they were not required to pay a fee to use those trails. That absence of cost and providing recreation is compensation in my book. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Fixed it for you. Having lived there and the panhandle for many years, I'd rather smell cow shit than people shit any day.
  22. Is it just me or is this place starting to feel more like home?
  23. Make sure you hit the new wet concrete feature over by Peddlers. Super fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. As long as it looks good on Instagram, it will be a 'thing'. I saw this lady at the Rio Vista white water park in San Marcos pull her kids out of a car, spend 20 minutes getting all dolled up, set them into an inner tube, and float in the water up to her neck for about 30 seconds so she could film herself for social media. They then hauled out of the water and took off. It was surreal.
