RidingAgain
Come on... You know you got the dollars to drop on this low flying race steed... https://flowmountainbike.com/tests/tested-pivot-mach-4-sl/?inf_contact_key=1643ec8a6af3193742910ed901cd939f680f8914173f9191b1c0223e68310bb1&fbclid=IwAR3s8GwttECuLxG3IHZRjDjdY7kMOzsf9PigYbKgJVOyf_Vm-Yznk-2aq9A
mack_turtle
Edit: the source is Australian. $16,000 AUS is a bit over $11,000. So it's a typical $10k Halo bike. Nothing to see here. Edited June 5, 2019 by mack_turtle
Seths Pool
so wait, why is to 16000 again?? just because?
notyal
Judging by the way they spell "tyres" it may be 16000 Euros, but still a lot. This is what happens when every single component on the bike gets computerized. Much like the current trend of $100,000 trucks.

Basically like the Scott Brain of the 23rd century.

AntonioGG
sub-24lbs 120mm full suspension bike with dropper and remote lockouts. That's why it's US$11k. Adding lightness is expensive once you get below a certain point.
Anita Handle
Nothing wrong with a company throwing the kitchen sink of tech and light parts at a build other than the fact that any reasonable review should probably focus on a more mainstream bike to really be useful to the readers.
AntonioGG
Well, there are plenty of readers in Austin with $9k-11k bikes too (road or MTB.) The cool thing about these profiles is you get to see all the good parts at once and how they add up in weight. It's more fun reading about exotic cars than a Fiesta!

Adding lightness is expensive once you get below a certain point. I wouldn't call LiveValve a remote lockout. Three sensors, a computer, and 2 automatically controlled systems (shock and fork) for on-the-fly suspension control. Automatic damping, or not, as needed, depending on trail condition. That is a very nice bike, as well as system.
