  1. This was a bunch of work, but glad to be part of the effort. However, with what I saw today, I agree the trails are going to take a lot of time and effort to clear. I look forward to more work days to be able to get back on the bike. Scott

  2. I had a really good time meeting everyone today. Amazing how much we got done. Basically cleared out from Skate Park to 183A and the portion to YMCA will be done later today. Great job. We really made a difference today.

  3. Today ARR Trail Stweards and crew were out at Brushy assessing the damage and clearing the concrete Regional trail. We should have it cleared from the skate park to the ymca by the end of the weekend. I can't stress enough how bad the damage is, every trail is blocked with fallen trees and snapped branches. Based on what i saw its going to take weeks to clear all the trails. We need your help more than ever before. The trails need to dry alot, but plan to come help next weekend.

  4. I had the covid in early Sep. Diagnosed/tested pos on Labor Day (Mon). Minor symptoms, low temp and mild cold-like), for a few days. Went for short ride that Sat in mid-/upper-90s and my temp got over 100, then normal that evening. Soooo Sun I went to LGT as I was freaking about losing fitness as we approached EB. LGT was a hot mess and my fever came on with a vengeance (~103) and persisted for several days. I wore a mask that ride. By Sat temp was gone. Back physically at work (had worked at home mostly throughout) the next Mon, 2 weeks from onset. Waited another week before any exercise and then lightly after that. Built back slowly. Never felt any lingering symptoms or lung issues, but seemed drained of fitness after a few weeks off. Probably took another 1 - 1-1/2 mos to feel sorta fit again.

  5. Though I wasn't planning on going to HEB in the next few days, I had thoughts of heading to Adelbert's to buy some beer from them and drop off some propane. They've been boiling and giving away boiled water for days now and they were going to stay open until 10pm today.

  6. Yes we can probably go for 2 weeks without going to the store and that's without a 2nd fridge or freezer. I personally take it as a challenge being creative making meals with any non-puffy cans or stuff I had forgotten was deep in the pantry. When single I used to routinely empty out the fridge and pantry. My family is a bit more picky. Also, the trickle is now a stream. So far my leak repair is holding. I never thought I'd be so excited to get a trickle of water in indoor plumbing.

  7. Visited Randall's at MOPAC and William Cannon this afternoon. Short lines, not crowded at all. The store was picked over! Probably partially because they had not been fully restocked and/or they had to throw away a lot of stuff. We got some basics that we needed though. Fortunately, we keep a well stocked pantry and got a few things right before the storm hit. I was expecting snow and ice to make travel difficult for a few days. The loss of power and water was a surprise.

  9. 79 hours without power and 30 hours (and counting) without water didn't stop me from getting in at least 1 good Walnut snow ride. This was the only time I was ever nervous about the Mark's Art log over! Riding in Walnut Wonderland. Breaking trail on .6. The good news is that all the deadfall from the first ice event and the first snow event (so until Wednesday morning) was cleared. I haven't been back since Tuesday so I don't know what the second ice event brought down.

  11. ^^Absolutely! My son works as a food server he's the only one in the family who hasn't tested positive. We're all thinking he's probably had it.

  12. My stepson works in a hospital in southern California. He passed all of the body temp screenings, but a Covid test came back positive. He had no idea he had it. My FIL lives with him and got pretty sick. He's recovered and has no lingering effects. I think the number of people that have had it is a LOT higher than anyone knows.
