  1. Behrens is the only place locally I've run into obvious Hog signs (wallows). They are active back there.
  2. The trick is catching them and holding them still while you spray paint their antlers.
  3. Odd, mine used to be at the top of the forum listing. It still is, but it was before too.
  4. I noticed some slight changes today, did the forum receive an update?
  5. To be fair, I think the 3rd lug would line up better with the way SRAM lines up the cable entry into their derailleurs. I've actually always liked how SRAMs are more tucked in close to the frame with a nice pivot. Shimano has a little too much slack in their routing for my preference. I'm always afraid it's going to snag on something. Never has, but I'm afraid. 🤣 BTW, still an awesome bike! What are you planning on doing with the 1st frame?
  6. Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on the bleed kit in a few weekends. I do have a standard brake/shift cable cutter, is this the same thing or is there a hydraulic specific cutter? I have something similar: https://www.amazon.com/Cyclingdeal-Bicycle-Professional-Cutter-CyclingDeal/dp/B00811VOFK/
  7. So in my recent fork upgrade my brake cable is a little bit short. I've avoided touching hydraulics for no particular reason other than I have Shimanos and not Avids 😉 plus, I don't have any bleed tools. Yes, I probably should have flushed my brakes at some point but I've never felt their performance was anything but good so I haven't bothered. So my choices are: Pay a shop to extend the cable or buy the supplies and do it myself. What would you do and what supplies do you recommend I buy?
  8. Yes. Mostly. But also no. I think it depends on the item. They have some good stuff, they also carry non-house brands like Dewalt, etc. They also have some stuff that probably isn't better than HF. I've made purchases from both.
  9. Same, through google maps (Android and iPhone). Some people seem shocked when I tell them. It's super handy for both of us.
  10. Y'all are missing out on barefoot riding.
  11. Not to slightly tangentially hijack the thread but... What do you recommend for narrow feet, flat pedals (non-spd) and preferably with BOA or quicklace? I've been looking at the following but I can't find much information on their width. Crank Bro Stamp BOA Crank Bro Stamp Speedlace Scott Volt Sport BOA
  12. Old Toyoto Previas had optional AWD. They also had available manual transmissions and their engine was mounted behind the front wheels making it the only AWD, Mid-Engine, Manual Mini-Van, just like a Lambo...
  13. I have not used him myself but my plumber said that he didn't even install his own, he let Tommy Dorsey do it. I've had a few friends use him and had great results. I would start there if I wanted to ask some questions to someone who knows something.
  14. I hear great things but their pricing.... EDIT, for some reason the website had me in Pesos... That's a new one.
  15. I've stayed out of this mostly because I enjoy talking bikes with you guys (gals included) too much to spoil it with this controversial topic but I need to get it off my chest. TV Show: TNG I grew up watching it as our regular Family Friday night Pizza and a show meal so it's got some sentimental value That being said there are some definite episodes to skip. Voyager and others weren't too bad but DS9 was way too Spatial-political (great word, thanks @AntonioGG) for my taste. Movies: Even #'rd ones are best Star Trek the Motion picture TRASH Wrath of Kahn GOLD Search for Spock MEH Voyage Home GREAT The Final Frontier TRASH Undiscovered Country UNDERRATED GOLD Generations MEH First Contact GOOD Insurrection TRASH Nemesis ALSO TRASH (Exception #1) Reboot (GOOD) (Exception #2) Into Darkness OKAY Beyond MEH Figures bikers would also be Trekies.
  16. To the OP... Welcome to Mojo Austin MTB Forums... All we need now is some goat and white margin stargazer topics.
  17. I'm not going to be there. How's your aquarium coming along?
  18. I have the finest quality 0-30 psi gauge that only attaches to Schrader.... I admit I just use my floor pump to measure. I should bite the bullet and get a Presta Air Gauge. For those interested... A decent comparison of some various options:
  19. I used the SRAM online calculator as a starting point and am currently running 33psi in the back and 31psi in the front. I only recently started to play with tire pressure, so I have a lot more experimenting to do. I would recommend experimenting with lower pressures. I run 22-25psi on both my bikes. Which is still relatively high, but I'm running tubes (vs tubeless). Below 18-20psi the risk of pinch flats goes up with tubes. I found, especially with my kid's bike when I ran too high, it rode really rough on peddlers. I run her around 15psi but she weighs 50lbs... @AustinBike, what PSI were you running on your ridged on descents?
  20. Dumb question... What tire PSI are you running in the front?
