  1. At first I was like, Frisco? It's so flat, you'd have to have something artificial like a landfill (Midwest ski hill) or tower.... Oh. Yeah, like that.
  2. This is totally your fault and not mine...
  3. I'm not sure how he got to the park but after he left the trail I swear I heard him leave on Brushy Creek Road towards Parmer. After he left the baseball side of the sports park I lost sight of him near the driveway and the. Never saw him on the skatepark side.
  4. So, new bike day! I can barely justify 2 bikes, so I am working on getting my Mission ready to sell. In doing so I am swapping the XT 1x11 from the Mission with the XT 1x10 on my Kato. Everything installed and tuned well EXCEPT the chain line. The 1x11 didn't seem to line up as well as when it was on my Mission. The chain is almost dead straight when on the 5th smallest cog. It does shift all the way to the largest but the chain is trying to come off the front sprocket. This happens on the 3 largest gears. From what I can tell, I have some options but I wanted to hear from the experts. Option 1: On my BB, I have 2 spacers on the drive side and 1 on the non-drive side. Can I just move them all to the drive side? As long as my front sprocket clears the frame. Option 2: Can I space the front sprocket inwards from the spider?
  5. Anyone here at Brushy this afternoon and see the guy riding a quad trying to force his way onto Peddler's Pass?
  6. This is the exact bike I've been looking for, when I have some time tonight, I'll send you a more detailed PM. Don't hold it on my account, I need it like another hole in the head.
  7. Do they have the aerosol or squeezy bottle? Sorry for the derail/ post steal, maybe we need a "Shameless Plug" thread.
  8. Another believer! Where do you get your Tri-Flow? After moving from out-of-state 5 years ago I'm still ordering online because I never see it locally.
  9. Depends, was the replacement done in a reasonable amount of time to prevent my phone/wallet/ keys from falling out of a failed zipper? My point is, I'm glad they stand by their product, but if something fails on me more than once it's not a good product and not worth my time, no matter how many replacements they send.
  10. Kudos for Osprey to stand behind their product and replace items but... I have a lot of other packs/ bags that I've had for decades that never needed replacing in the first place. Come to think about it, I just tossed my first Hyrdopak "Hydration pack" that I got in 1999 because the straps literally disintegrated. This is after thousands of miles of hiking, disc golf, biking, dirt biking including one crash from a motorcycle onto gravel in 2003 where I spun like a turtle for 40-50' on my back with the only thing between me and the road was that pack, 3L of water and a thin tech shirt. I do like osprey's designs but if a company has to replace products multiple times over their life, are they a really good product or just a good company?
  11. For brakes, I bet this is more of a liability issue. Even automotive repair places are doing this. Many won't service a caliper, they will just replace it with a rebuilt unit that has a 3rd party guarantee on it.
  12. Went for a family walk/scooter/bike ride in Gtown along Blue Hole Park and ended up on Picket Trail. Cool hiking trail, bad bike/scooter trail. The seat post is high because I rode/carried it... 🤣
  13. Correct, two major projects will affect the current area known as SN.
  14. This road didn't make sense to me until I read this: The $14.3 million Toro Grande Boulevard project will extend Toro Grande Boulevard from RM 1431 to Parmer Lane. By extending the road, the city will open inaccessible land to future development. 15. It was a holiday with good weather so I expected some traffic.
  16. Rode SN/ Church Last night, as always very enjoyable but this extension and the new paved trail is always on my mind. That being said, it was BUSY yesterday. Large spectrum of users too, Old, Young, Walkers, Runners, Dogs, Bikes, eBikes, Roadies, Gravel(ers).
  17. I think I remember that property coming up in an old AMTB or Mojo thread.
  18. I always assumed the trail builder took over an existing trail made by animals who did 90% of the work for them. Cows/Sheep/Deer/Dogs run along fences.
  19. It's not bad, not Evil either...I reckon.
  20. The other week while riding Brushy I got stung by something, not sure if it was a wasp orbea. It was no Picnic, it was Mulligan.
  21. Just watch out for the Diamondbacks and Ghosts..
  22. I do that the week after Thanksgiving too.
