  1. Grohl only played drums for some college grunge band in the 90's /s ❤️ Taylor Hawkins ❤️
  2. Never heard of that before but damn that looks good.
  3. Yeah nice meeting you too. Glad the stuff went to a good cause instead of collecting dust in my garage.
  4. To get into the Meridian on trails you have a couple options: "Golf Course" which starts just off Kendrick @ 45 and is easy to get to from the cart path under 45 or "School Daze" at the end of 45 @ 1826 which connects to the Bone Yard trail.
  5. I don't have any planes that I remember but I do have a radio and a few engines. A 46 and a 18 IIRC. A few other odds and ends. Wife would be pretty happy if I could clear it out. I haven't touched that stuff in years.
  6. Yes, with success. One of my favorite places to shop for parts actually. Then friggen Trail Features give the game away earlier this week now everyone knows. Look at the amount and quality of photos they provide. If the thing has a scratch they probably took a picture of it. I snagged an older pristine hard tail from them this year. It must have been some old stock a shop was clearing out because it came without a single scratch. It was exactly as advertised boxed as a new bike would. I put the first scratch on it cutting a zip tie off. http://protestedgear.com/ Seems to do mostly the same thing but is maybe more roadie stuff if you happen to swing that way.
  7. Not sure what's up but the S Lamar location has a big "Store Closing" banner and a guy standing out on the intersection holding a store closing "this location only" sign. I was only in the area to get wrecked at Bombay Bistro so I didn't stop in the store.
  8. Wife and kids left me for the afternoon. I threatened to go walk the trail to see how bad it was. But I found this bottle of whiskey and... I did stomp around in the yard pretending to know what I was doing pruning bushes. It didn't seem as bad as it should have been with the rain. Fingers crossed for Tuesday.
  9. Leg warmers stay up for me. I put the shorts gripper over the leg warmers to help hold them up. Knee pads can also help with warmth and holding things in place. I have a pair or two of the pants over shorts thing. I tend to only wear those on the road bike and only when the temps drop even farther. They don't fall down or feel uncomfortable wearing over bibs but they aren't as convenient to remove mid-ride if it warms up. Long pants with a chamois seems limiting. I have a stable of comfortable liners & bibs and I'll layer the long pants on top of those. I only use them a few times a year anyway.
  10. All that space under Ben White. It's perfect and Dan's Hamburgers is like right there.
  11. Agree. But think of it with AC when it's 104 outside.
  12. There are more of these that I thought. https://raysmtb.com/ I'll be on the road or a trainer this weekend. Rain just opened up on S. Lamar.
  13. All my data is beer-reviewed. I hope that's acceptable.
  14. wtf pics? I'm having trouble trying to decide how I feel about such a beast.
  15. You're not wrong. I saw one of those scooters and a motorized skateboard thing out on the veloway last week. Nowhere is safe.
  16. Agree with a lot of what was said above. This is going to have a lot to do with your preference, riding style, and typical trail. I've been riding on Maxxis Ikon tires. They are XC as opposed to downhill specific but that's what I spend all my time doing. I did max out the size my old frame can handle with the 2.35". Probably cutting it kind of close in the back but YOLO. You can run it with a tube. It won't be as light and might feel different. You get more sensitivity without the... are we still talking about tires? In case of catastrophic flats or your Orange Seal is dried up it's a good idea to carry a spare tube anyway. Just not in your wallet.
  17. Yup. Bought this along with a big refill bottle keep using this to fill up. OP: Buy some extra valve cores in case one gets clogged with sealant. I've always been able to clean them out eventually but it's something you don't want to miss a ride over.
  18. Only wet in a few mostly avoidable spots. Rock gardens are a toss up as either pretty good or slick as snot.
  19. Good lort I've seen that happen to a cassette but never a chainring.
