  2. This has been a great bike, but I'm hoping to move to something with a bit more travel. The Horsethief is really a great bike for this area - efficient enough to be a decent climber, but burly enough to handle places like Spider Mtn, Bentonville, and Colorado bike parks. Size: MD Website: https://salsacycles.com/bikes/horsethief/2017_horsethief_gx1 Mostly stock, but with a few, key upgrades. Fox Float 34 Performance fork Fox Float DPS rear shock SRAM GX drivetrain (1X11) SRAM DB5 brakes e*thirteen TRS+ 125mm dropper post * Anvl Swage 50mm stem * Chromag BZA Carbon handlebars - trimmed to 760mm * Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR Tires * Ergon GA3 grips * *- Upgraded/changed from stock I believe I've got a spare derailleur hanger I'll throw in with purchase. I would have uploaded pics, but recently the site doesn't like pictures taken with my phone... Check out the CL ad for pictures. https://austin.craigslist.org/bik/d/cedar-park-2017-salsa-horsethief-md-gx1/7100345618.html
  3. Great! One more thing for me to neglect...
  4. I've never heard of anyone cleaning and lubing their brake caliper pistons. Is this something people do?
  5. I know we should always ride to the ride, but - hypothetically speaking - do we think that throwing the bike on the back of the car to get to and from a trail is covered by the term "biking" in the shelter in place proclamation?
  6. Zwifting is the mountain biking equivalent of eating store-made guac. (Full disclosure: I don't each guac or Zwift. I just like to be a sarcastic a-hole sometimes.)
  7. As I said earlier, I've posted numerous images to this site. At least one to this very thread. I'm familiar with the different methods and have tried all three in this instance. I'm on a laptop running Windows 10 - the same laptop and OS I've used to post most (if not all) of the other images I've uploaded. The issue is that now when I try to do either of the first 2 methods you mention I get an error that simply says "-200". When I try the copy/paste method, I get a black square with a progress bar that never moves and some text over the black square that says "Queued".
  8. Even at that size, it still probably costs $2K.
  9. Forget that theory... I've used 1% of my allotted attachment space...
  10. Trying to upload from a saved file on my laptop. I've done it numerous times in the past, so I'm not sure what has changed... I just tried the copy/paste method someone else mentioned. That just says the image is "Queued" and then does nothing. I know on the old MoJo site there was a limit to the amount of files you could upload, but I didn't think that was the case since the forum moved here. I guess I could try deleting some of the previous images I've uploaded and see if that has any effect.
  11. Anybody else ever get an error message when trying to upload an image? It's super informative, saying "-200". Image size is only 7.8 mb, so it's not a size thing...
  12. Wow. Most of us have probably had those moments where - after a crash - we look around and say something like, "Man, that would have been so much worse if I had landed a few inches one way or the other." I guess the laws of probability dictate that there are going to be some riders that aren't so lucky. Hopefully, he can make a full recovery and be back in saddle soon.
  13. Just a heads up... Spider is running a pretty awesome deal on Fridays through the end of March. Up to 4 people can ride for $75. https://www.facebook.com/events/571529423573761/
  14. ^^^ Great commentary on your experience. Do you mind sharing where you were riding? I went to Flat Rock Ranch a few weeks ago and I would have loved to have an ebike out there, but I can't imagine riding one at Walnut, where I rode on Sunday.
  15. It's true that they are no longer a sponsor, but it seems like he's still using their stuff on most (if not all) of his bikes.
  16. You think the fact that they are selling this stuff so cheap signals that they aren't going to carry it any more?
  17. Prices for the whole drivetrain are just slightly more than replacing a SRAM or Shimano cassette!
  18. Interesting... I've got a 130mm Fox 34, but it might be interesting to see how it feels with the 140mm air shaft. Is there anything else involved in swapping these out aside from popping the old one out and putting the new one in?
  19. While at Spider Mtn. yesterday I noticed that Push Industries had set up shop in the camping area. I took a break from shreddin' the gnar to go ask them about their lower leg service kit and why it comes with 10wt oil when most modern Fox forks call for a different type of oil. I didn't really get a definitive answer, but the guy I spoke with made it sound like you could just use the 10wt oil on both sides instead of the 20wt on the air side and 5wt on the damper side. He tried to rationalize that statement with some Coors-influenced suspension math that went something like, "Well, there's not much oil in the air side anyway, and 10wt is pretty close to 5wt - which is used in much larger quantity on the damper side. So it kind of all evens out..." As you can imagine, I didn't walk away from the conversation feeling super-confident about what I was just told. The cost is pretty minimal, so I'll probably just end up getting the oils that Fox recommends.
  20. A comment from one of the companies working on the trail states that they expect to be done mid-March.
  21. I used to hear them called "toe cages", which makes more sense to me than "clips".
  22. What I really want to know is whether flats or clipless pedals are better for ebikes...
