  1. Wasn't aware this place existed. Thanks for sharing!
  2. One time I was pulling my daughter on the trail a bike at Dana Peak and I kept saying "Howdy!" to people we passed. We had the following conversation her: Why do you keep saying that? me: Saying what? Howdy? her: Yeah. It's weird! Apparently I was embarrassing her? I just made more of a point to say it excessively after that, hah!
  3. DUDE Harden is unhuman this season! Seriously WTF! Honestly after the rollercoaster of a season we've had I'm just glad we're in a playoff spot and am just HOPING we avoid a Warriors first round. My wife and I got to go see the Spurs beat the Knicks at the AT&T center during their 9 game win streak, that was really cool! My first live basketball game. Back to the Rockets, everyone keeps saying Harden might not be as good in the playoffs because of his usage rate and what not but honestly the way he plays and scores it's like half of what Bradley Beal or Giannis do. He's a very good shooter. The only thing I forsee is like a Chris Paul injury and Harden definetly not getting to the line as much. Can't wait for the playoffs! Also it's going to be crazy seeing the Blazers go in without Nurkic and a cold CJ McCollum.
  4. Do you still need tires? I have two 2.25 nobby nicks with minimum wear I'd let go for $20.
  5. I can't believe your walked away from that!
  6. Hey y'all, I'm wanting to lighten up my daughter's 20" wheel Specialized Hotrock. The current fork is a heavy ass coil fork. I'm wanting to find a rigid one with pull brake mounts (it isn't disc). I would even be open to an air fork if it exists. Any ideas? Think there are any cranks I could put on it too? It's a 7 speed currently but I'm thinking of turning it single speed cause really she's mostly using it for the green trail at spider mountain. Also pedal and shoe combos for the little ones? I've seen people mention BMX pedals, which are the best? Any ideas on how to turn this into a shred sled for my 6 year old daughter? Thanks.
  7. Dana peak is awesome. The trails by the fishing peer TH, and the lower ones around the lake are great for kids. My daughter's been riding there on a trail a bike, 16", and now her 20". You could even camp there on the lake and just explore. Great post btw, and great job being an awesome Dad!
  8. So I think the most important 2 IMO would have to be a pump track, so the average rider can practice pumping; and a drop section.. I pumping is a hugely underrated skill that, unless a rider seeks it out to learn or grew up bmxing/skateboarding, the rider will never acquire it. Second is a progressive drop area with small to large options.
  9. I mean it isn't single track, but it isn't a paved road either. It's like a steep ass fire break. It's definitely a challenge so if you wanted to skip the lift because you felt like climbing I think you'd definitely satisfy some of that need 👍.
  10. There is already a steep road to the top. If you go to the website and look at the map it says bike/hike up or something. It is pretty challenging as everyone who did the race had to go up it like 6 times that day. So the option is there if you don't want to take the lift.
  11. I would give Colorado Bend State park some more time to get back into shape after the crazy flooding that occurred last month. As of Saturday, according to some of the volunteer trail crew out there some of the good trails are closed. I would call ahead or maybe give it a month or two. I created two featured rides on MTBProject at CBSP and would recommend one of those. However, if anyone ever wants a tour out there I would gladly give one. Just PM me.
  12. Hey guys, So Copperas Cove has a 210 acre park that is untouched and has great potential for a trail system. Some members of the community got together and met with the director and have started flagging and clearing corridor. We're kind of at the point now where we can start digging and could definitely use some help. If you live in the north Austin area Copperas Cove isn't too far down north on 183. For instance I work in Leander. Anyway, if any of you Pville, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and Leander folks want some variety Ogletree Gap has amazing potential and we could definitely use some help. We're typically meeting Saturdays at 8 or 9am. Right now were just clearing corridor and digging tread. Hopefully some of you will want to come out. I think we could definitely get at least 7 to 9 miles of bidirectional trail out there with some of it being fairly technical. So doing out and backs could get you some sweet ~18 mile rides when it's all said and done. Here is the Facebook group so you can join and stay up up to date on workdays https://www.facebook.com/groups/386361225201153/?ref=bookmarks Post up or PM me if you want to help. Could use some extra hands and tools for sure. Thanks
  13. Thoughts? From the article: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/exclusive-richie-rude-and-jared-graves-failed-drug-test-at-ews-france.html Guess it's a waiting game for the AFLD to release its findings. Personally shit like this pisses me off and I do not subscribe to the whole "everyone does it at _____ caliber of competing". I also don't believe the "accidentally ingested" story either. I'll be really interested to see how this ends.
  14. I agree. Why did you have to kill it, just curious? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  15. Honestly I use slime. It's not everyone's favorite but it works and it's cheap. I absolutely hate taking out valve cores. So annoying. I just pop open the side of my tire of the rim and add sealant. Put the tire back on and use my regular 20 dollar pump from Amazon to reseat the bead. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

  19. Yeah the blazers are sick this year! Lillard is extremely good. The nuggets are good too but honestly haven't been paying that much attention to them besides Jokic who's a tank in the paint. They have a good record but just lost to the nets wtf? I can't speak we lost to the effing heat and magic. That game last night though I'm not going to lie felt like a major shit show. We fouled way too much and turned over the ball way too much. In fact had Harden not made it to the line so much who knows how abysmal his shooting stats would be for the night. Worse than they were. Although he was guarding DeRozan real good. DeRozan didn't have a great night but at least he still got a double double. Another cool thing to see was our second string PG (d. White) back from injury and then see them start Forbes who up until our rash of injuries was a third string PG/SG. Dude has really proved himself. Something is totally wrong with the Rockets. I don't know if the chemistry is off or what but CP3 couldn't even make lay ups last night. Hopefully they sort it out soon they are just too good for those kind of shooting stats. 20. I have a 2016. I absolutely love it. Mine is set up 150 front 115 rear with the coil. It climbs great and I feel like I literally can go down anything. The confidence this bike gave me is insane. Like I said in another post, I've done black diamond Angel fire trails on it to full laps around lake Georgetown. In honestly feel like it's a bike you can't go wrong with. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  21. Don't know if you settled on the smuggler but I have one and I love it. Very capable bike all around. I've done black diamonds at Angel fire to full day jaunts around lake Georgetown on it. Enjoy! Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  22. Found a pair of prescription glasses in a black Smith case at the sports complex parking lot today at noon. Live an hour away so we dropped em off at the peddler on our way out of town. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  23. Do you know if the mobile app provides this feature? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  24. Interesting night of basketball wouldn't you say throet? My Spurs lost to the Blazers who didn't seem to miss a freaking shot, even their bench. And then LA and the Rockets basically get into a brawl on the court. I watched the video and I honestly have no idea why Ingram would have even pushed Harden like that, and I have to say that was excellent professionalism by Harden to be pushed like that and not do anything about it because he TOTALLY had an opening to swing or push back. The ONLY upside to this is at least Ingram and Rondo will hopefully be suspended when the Spurs play them here in a couple of nights, haha. EDIT: well upon further research it seems a lot of people feel Harden initiated that contact with a flop and when the foul was called on Ingram he got frustrated and pushed Harden.
