  1. Only thing I wish I had peacock for was the Snoop Dogg / Kevin Hart recaps of the Olympic coverage. Commercials looked funny and Snoops comments on animal videos are hilarious. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Ditto, but the 8/9 speed ones from 10+ years ago were much easier to undo after initial install. I can’t undo the 11/12 speed ones with my fingers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I always thought that was cool of MJ’s to have that indoor rack for customers. Shit disappears so quick down there. When I worked downtown I’d occasionally bike in and use their showers so the rack meant I could leave my lock at work and not drag it back/forth. They used to do a towel service for a buck, which meant even less crap I had to carry, so I’d grab something at the coffee shop if I didn’t need bike stuff. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Centurion takes me back to 1985. Had a roomie with one in college. I was a Raleigh rider way back when they had the big euro road squad and Trek was a startup. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Ha! A friend recently sent some group pics of trip we took to the NOC from Tsali. May have been 95/96. Don’t remember which trip. We used to go every spring then for the big blowout Guest Appreciation Fest end of October each year. Edit: on my Profled 856 so either 96 or 97. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. If you dvr something on Fubo you can start it from the beginning while it’s still being broadcast. Just did it on the Olympic shooting competition. Some items on their SmartTV app have a start over button but I’ve never seen it work on live sports. I’ve had the same issue on RedBull’s app that if you backup the broadcast it cuts out once the live feed ends and you have to wait for the replay to be active. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I looked at peacock and didn’t seem worth it. Had the spectrum streaming for a month or 2 but the package with local affiliates sucked. You only got like 15 channels. Fubo has local, plus a much larger range of channels, plus 250 hrs of online dvr space. I’m guessing it was futbol oriented originally because there’s 20+ sports channels that mainly carry soccer plus most of the ESPN channels and NBCSN and Olympic channel. The ESPN and NBCSN apps work if you use Fubo as your provider. Great thing for us is each person’s Fubo login has a separate way to sort channels and only the dvr items for that login show up. Spectrum only works for 90% of the channels on your home WiFi network but Fubo streams exactly the same everywhere. I setup a separate login for the Olympic stuff so I can dvr the cycling and other late night stuff that’s mainly on USA and NBCSN. It had all of the men’s mtb race but for some reason the time slot must have been off on the women’s. What I recorded started 30 min into the race. It was pretty much decided by that point. 8. Swap front tires with the bike on the left. That will cure 99% of it! That narrow low volume tire makes my wrist hurt thinking about riding it on trail. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Years ago a friend’s N Austin apt building burned about as completely as you can get. It must have been crazy high temp blaze. The one and only item left was his titanium road bike frame that was holding up a section of a wall. It was a bare frame. The wheels and all the components including the headset and bottom bracket were gone. Eerie thing seeing this frame hanging in mid air 20’ up. Never found a trace of his DBR carbon MTB. Cool early gen carbon hardtail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That would be all fine if we all lived in fuckin bubbles. Those refusing to get vaccinated are putting those that can’t be vaccinated at risk by not only spreading the current strains perpetuating the virus but allowing it to mutate and probably putting all of us at risk eventually. Fuck that it’s my choice bullshit. You don’t want to help then stay the fuck home, die alone, don’t kill someone else. But no, they gotta be assholes about it and not do anything to not hurt somebody else and be a dick about in the process. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Manzeer or Bro? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Cracked up when I saw this lady in Seattle. Didn’t know they made specific packs for it. Corgi was chill checking out the sites. [emoji38] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Like most things, you have to start with the assumption that half the population is below average intelligence. [emoji849] So half of them can’t decipher the bullshit thrown at them. Like my pops a 40 year educator always said dumb is always loud, defiant, and unwavering. When the scientific community speaks quietly with uncertainty, those grasping to understand will listen to loud and certain every damn time. We used to be able to take the microphone away from idiots. And News was dissemination of facts not entertainment. Now any dumbfuck with a smartphone is a self proclaimed expert. And news outlets spout non-sense for ratings and care nothing about putting people in harms way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Late 70’s a gas well blew near my parents in S La. Had a horizontal flame over a football field long that we drove by on the bus to school for over 6 mos. You could feel the heat as the bus drove by from the flame close to 1/3 mi across the field from the highway. Couldn’t cap it so they kept it burning while they drilled 2 adjacent wells to eventually choke it off. They were tapping into the Tuscaloosa sands that are 2+ mi deep in that area and have crazy high pressure gas deposits. Shit you never forget seeing as a kid. You could see the glow from the fire low on the horizon and feel the windows vibrate at our house 8-10 mi away. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Yep. Curt Gowdy SP is a great trail. It’s this one little mountain out in the middle of the plains when you head west out of Cheyenne. There’s a few spots with big granite boulders you can play around on. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Flash back to the old BCGB sammich rides. We’d start at the pool, ride everything we knew on south side, drop down mulch hill to buck’s then stop at the dam and swim, have a sammich, then hit Ed’s bowl, dump truck, Rudy’s etc all the way back to pool. 4-5 hr epics I am in no friggin shape for now. [emoji3] after sweating that much that long swimming in the chamois isn’t any worse on your butt. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I’m waiting to see what innovative ways people are going to jack with these things. Tipping over? Knocking in a creek? Setting up obstacles so it circles endlessly. You know there’s some scheming going on. [emoji23] Oh and I’m sure they’ll get snickered to death. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Horse gulch trails start in SE corner of town. It’s the trails almost everyone rides first trip. There’s also Overend Mountain (aka test track) that’s on the west side of town. Both start in town and are well marked, listed on trailforks / mtb project. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Take him over to Valmont bike park. You’ll both have a blast. Jump course, slopestyle, flow trail, pump track all in a great little park. And each has newbie, intermediate and advanced lines. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Get some spray brake cleaner, pull rotor and pads, spray and clean pads, reinstall rotor and pads when dry. Do not try to do it on bike. Brake Cleaner will FUBAR your paint job. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. That and you don’t have dozens of “know-it-all” pseudo environmentalists groups fighting your every attempt to stick a shovel in dirt. Too many of those fighting for microphone time around here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. https://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help Here’s what I was looking for. Their website has it organized by what you need to work on. You don’t have to sift thru all the YouTube channel to get to just derailleur videos, etc. Calvin…the ultimate bike nerd! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Park Tool, the best known home and professional bicycle tool company, has a great set of YouTube videos on many of the things a newbie up to weekend warrior can fix. Their website used to have them organized by what area of the bike you’re working on. Not sure if that’s changed. If you like printed info, Amazon should have Zinn and the art of mountain bike maintenance. Great how-to book from a journalist that’s had a maintenance column for 30+ years. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. This fool did it on a small neighborhood block with less than 1/2 mi laps in an area so flat the tallest thing around is a fire ant mound. All the while blasting death metal in his ear buds. [emoji28] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I have a friend in S La that comes up with nutty mental challenges like the time he did a century riding just around his block. I’m sure he’d try this if there was any elevation there. It’d take 15000 mi there [emoji1] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
