  1. I checked a couple of spots and it is still way too wet to ride. Standing water in some areas. A full day of sunshine tomorrow will help, but then it's supposed to rain again on Saturday. Sadly I saw a couple of guys loading up muddy bikes at Brushy Creek Lake Park. They acknowledged that the trails were very messy, and I kindly informed them that they should not ride in those conditions.

  3. Sweet, yeah I like the Rockets too. I hear rumors about maybe them trading for Butler but honestly I don't really see how that could happen? He's also a Houston native which would be really cool, though that doesn't really seems to matter these days. I'll also be following the Spurs closely. It will be really weird watching them without the "big three" but I watched their preseason game and they performed well.

  5. Browndog, you could have waited until after you rode it before casually tossing the words "new bike" out into the aether to call the spirits of precipitation.

  6. I try to ride each day for about 2-3 hours weather depending, but do have a daily workout regimen that adhere to most of the time both of which hopefully keep me in some kind of shape to enjoy a semi active lifestyle. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk

  9. Standing too much is no good either. Been working on my feet on concrete and asphalt for almost forty years now. Eventually Plantar fasciitis will get you from standing all the time. Talking from experience. It's no fun.

  10. Not sure about gravel, but Sansom Park in NW Ft. Worth is worth doing. Nice amount of elevation with some steep climbs, but nothing all that technical.

  15. Brushy is a swamp. Rode the hike and bike today just to get miles. Water is flowing down heavily from Rim. Brushy creek is over it's banks and almost up to the bridge by Mulligan. Didn't actually check any of the trails but have to assume with as hard as it rained yesterday it's gonna be at least three days of sun to get back to ridable conditions.
