  1. Well I almost thought it would never happen. The wheels literally took two hours to get tubeless. Every trick in the book. Finally used CO2 cartridges. Boy was only sort of interested in helping, perhaps the cold garage was to blame. It all turned out awesome. He loves it. Figured out the trigger shifter right away and is getting used to brakes that work and a real fork. Some fitting to be done, but not till it warms up.

  2. Every beer is a cold weather beer at this point 🙂 Sadly I only have a few IPAs left over at this point. I neglected to do my Porter/Stout run this winter.

  3. It's really sad that Apple had to cut off support like that. It's not like they had to do anything but just let it keep working.

  4. Came in at 24lbs on the dot. Bars will need to shorten and tires need stans fluid. Otherwise all done. Going to need to start making some kids ride calls.

  7. I think a lot of athletes struggle when they have to communicate with fans. I want to see the sport, not hear opinions.

  8. I love watching Danny Hart ride. He seems like he's always in complete control and nothing can phase him. It's a beautiful thing. On the other side of the coin, he tends to struggle in the social media game which is an unfortunate problem in the sponsorship world. I think that Cube will do well having him keep his helmet on and let the riding talk. Then again, what the hell do I know?!

  9. So cool to see a follow cam of danny and how a pro attacks a course/trail for speed vs tricks. Every time I watch a rider pick lines like that, I die a little inside🤣

  10. always good times in the auto industry! in my previous life, i saw several trucks & cars fall off of lifts, with the highpoint seeing a brand new expedition go OTB off the top of a 18 wheeler transporter. Then there were the crashes, thefts and fires........

  13. Hmmmm Two nanos, a mini, a touch and a classic. Gonna plug them all in and see what still works, my guess is they all do. I know for sure the Nanos still work, plus the silver one, connected now, hand't been used in a year and the battery was still at 80%. The mini was a warranty replacement well after the factory warranty was depleted. I find that Apple generally does a better job with long term support than most others in the market. [edit: yep, all still recognized by MacOS Big Sur]

  15. So do I, somewhere. Are there any hacks out there for iPods? As far as support, the motivation to end support is not to force you to buy a new one. From the HW perspective sometimes the components themselves are hard to get in case of service. From the SW perspective, with every release of SW/FW you have to test with all the supported HW out there. It becomes very time consuming and expensive to have to test every possible combination out there.

  16. Funny how people think Apple invented this this, but they stole the interface from Creative. In fact, they paid $100,000,000.00 to creative for it. Apple pays $100m to settle Creative lawsuit over iPod menus Things really aren't going Apple's way just at the moment. It's having to restate its earnings going back some time because there are queries about some of its stock options having been backdated; iPod sales fell quarter-on-quarter; and now, it's decided not to fight Creative Labs in the lawsuit that the latter brought alleging that the iPod's menu system infringed Creative's patent, filed a few months before the first iPod appeared. Apple had originally aimed to fight fire with fire, launching a series of lawsuits against Creative in response to the first. However, Creative became increasingly inventive in the legal row, escalating it to the level where Apple might have been unable to import the product into the US. That, of course, might have affected sales ever so slightly. Now, it's over, and Creative is $100m richer and gets some bragging rights. From Reuters: Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs said the agreement ends five lawsuits between the companies "and removes the uncertainty and distraction of prolonged litigation."

  18. Have a 2 gig mini that was given to us a decade ago that we used in my wifes old mini cooper. The mini cooper and my tacoma both had ipod interface with the factory radios but have no clue how to format that thing now.

  19. Danny can seem a little "on the spectrum" at times. Heard his old man is a total PITA to deal with too. Watch the Rob meets episode to get a little taste of life with SR. He's inconsistent for sure but can be fun to watch. We saw him win at snowshoe and couldn't believe it. "How does he sit down with balls that big! " And yes, the social media game is netting a way higher ROI than running full factory teams. Not many people in the USA go to UCI MTB events, much less buy a bike because XYZ brand was on the podium. To further this point, when the syndicate lost Loris, they didn't fill that spot with another rider, but added Eliot Jackson to head up their social media presence. Dude is self taught and pretty talented, so kinda excited to see what they put out.

  20. Apple phases out support on the older iPods. I had a nano that my computer stopped recognizing. I didn't realize that it was no longer supported and wiped it trying to change the music and that was the end of that one.

  24. Small Axe is available on Amazon Prime. Short series with long episodes about the struggle for equality for Black folk in England. Sometimes the soundtrack tries to steal the show, but the varied truth-inspired stories over several decades of heartbreak tell a compelling story that most of us probably don't know.

  26. Lots of Ash trees split in half in my hood. One fell into the street one car in front of me as I was driving to get some food during the outage Thursday. Spent couple hours trimming my neighbors ash tree that was sagging onto both of our roofs. Couple of huge live oaks split along our park and greenbelt. [emoji853] Cracked up that all these people are scouring the neighborhood picking up the cut trees for firewood. They’re knocking on doors to ask if the can cut up all the downed trees! Good luck getting wet green live oak started. One plus to a gas fireplace. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  32. You can still get 40W and 60W incandescents for candelabras at Home Depot for 99c each. In fact I have fixtures that are heat trapping in which I can't use LED or CFL because they die short;ly so I have to keep using the incandescents.
