Yep as of this weekend ALL USA Cycling events are canceled through April 5th. Pace Bend and Cameron are not happening.

Same thing here I take those flights 4-5 times a year. No compression socks but walk/stretch, hydrate (no alcohol) and baby aspirin. and always an aisle seat so I can get up whenever I want.

To the asshat on Marks Art this morning...

Did he yell STRAVA? Seriously forget about it but if you see him again ride extra slow. I enjoy riding Walnut but could do without the random packs of roadie type dbags. -
Revel rims- recyclable alternative to carbon fiber

My preference for strength and weight would be DT XM 481. WTB Asym are a good lower cost option but a bit heavier. I have the 481 on my FS and the Asym on the SS and both have been rock solid unlike the WTB i19 that I turned into a Taco hitting a berm. That one hurt a bit. -
Interesting but not much coverage there. It's pricey but on the Moto I've used Forcefield armor and it worked great the couple of crashes I've had on the track. The armor is soft so it forms to the body.

Who is going to the Full Gas on Peddler's Pass 2/15?
Txduc replied to Seths Pool's topic in Mountain Biking Discussion
I was in the old man 50+ class last time and did not have an issue with passing. During the pre-race meeting they asked that you call out when approaching a slower rider so they can give way. In every instance but one I had the slower riders pull over before I had a chance to say anything. -
This afternoon 1/4, DD, Gnargasm, Snail and Peddlers were all great. Mulligan on the other hand had some serious mud right before the little climb on the fence line and in the usual spots after.

I just started so I don't have the setup sorted as of yet. Just using a laptop on a desk but I have been thinking about putting a large tv on the wall in the office..... Maybe if the wife gets upset I can blame it on TheX 🙂

I stayed at the Innkeepers carriage house last time and the location was great (walk to downtown and a couple of blocks to All American Trail) unfortunately it's not showing on airbnb so I'll follow this thread to find a new place for next time. 😞

I'm 160 and run 2.35's at ~23 rear and 19 front. I would run lower but I've had a couple instances of bombing through a downhill rocky section at high speed that ended with punctures when running ~16 front and 19 rear. The most recent one resulted in both front and rear spraying Orangeseal and of course I only had one tube. I don't believe cushcore would have helped as the cuts were in the middle of the tire not snakebites next to the bead so I've not considered going that route.

This times a thousand. I run Ardent race on all of my bikes and they work really well at Brushy, Walnut, Warda, RPR, etc but at Bandera it felt like I was running slicks. Now to find an old 26er DH bike. 🙂

Stop it I'm trying to not think about how bad getting out of the sleeping bag is going to suck Saturday morning. -

Maybe someone that has been there will chime in but. The parks website says..."Every campsite has access to a BBQ pit. Shared Fire pits are available during certain times of the year" So looks like they have them but not really clear how many and how close. Looking at the satellite view I didn't see any so that's not much help either. -

Thanks just looking forward to having some fun as I already have too much hardware. I'm sure it's a matter of not being familiar with the trails. -

Signed up for the old man class. This will be my first enduro so I'm sure I'll be slow also a bit nervous about the technical features. I ride 1/4 notch, DD, Snail weekly and have hit pretty much everything on Spider and at Keystone so hopefully I'll be fine. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I'll be camping Friday (silver MDX) . -
I'm headed to Penang in a few weeks, sadly it's not near the place in the video. Probably just as well since I'll be living in a conference room while I'm there.

+1 Weather could not have been more perfect. Hit Deception, Snail, Picnic and Snow White/Gnargasm all were in perfect shape.

Not sure that there is a perfect set up. I've been playing with my lighting for a couple of years now but I'm still not set on the helmet light. Currently I'm running a Niterider 2800 enduro on the handlebars it's a great light but the battery pack is heavy and takes a couple of minutes to put on so if I'm being lazy I'll just throw my Lumina 1100 on. As far a helmet lights I usually alternate between a Lumina 950 but it's a bit heavy and a Sigma Buster 200. The Buster 200 is nice and light but light output on the Lumina is way better.

Handlebars - interested in opinions

I love their saddles and didn't know they had bars. maybe worth a try in the future. -
Just got back rode Peddlers and Picnic trails are great right now but the bugs are out in force since the sun went down.

This also cleaning the area with alcohol before putting the patch on helps the patch stick.
