  1. THIS ^^^^ When I read the first post in this thread I thought, if AB had a GB ride going, that would be the ticket for showing your brother the grunt.
  2. What about the Vipers? Were any disturbed, or were they only amused?
  3. Dress real warm, the extra padding will help when you fall. Think "Michelin Man" or Stay-Puft parade float.
  4. If you can get to the Barton Warnock Center on the way from Terlingua to Lajitas you'll have several choices. Airport trails with loops, and BBRSP trailhead for out and back with some side trails to loop on. State Park pass is available there as well. MTBProject and TrailForks might help narrow down the logistics.
  5. I did put a mud flap on the Fox about a month ago. Guess I could get a small Mud Flap Girl to attach to it if that might help.
  6. Even if Nando does now "Only Ride Park" it IS still Walnut Creek Metro PARK, isn't it?
  7. Perhaps I should consider getting one of those. Maybe the bike as well.
  8. Where's the sport in giving him real advice? Stop it. Stop it now!
  9. Your naturally low center of gravity should offer you some sort of an advantage.
  10. The fact that you are questioning this brings the total to 5.
  11. Cody, I think you could add a photo of your tandem as well, just to further clarify the class of bikes being sought after.
  12. Once the "Brushy sequins" project is complete it should sparkle quite nicely. 🎇✨🎆
  13. What if they were recovering from sex change surgery and became a Tranny due to buyer's remorse?
  14. Post ride for me. I found years ago that eating before a ride was a mistake more often than not. I'll just suck some Hammer Gel mid ride and drink plenty of water and dissolve the occasional electrolyte tablet. Then, after the ride I'll make up for those poor, defenseless, lost calories. My RHR training regimen used to include a beer and a Rocky Burger at the Saloon post-ride. I would like to believe that I was dealing with the finest in professional nutritionists there. The only racing I've ever done was as a member of the RHR Saloon's 24 hour team, "Spokes, Rims, and Nipples" back in the day. In all honesty it was more of a party that also involved taking a lap every now and then. The only race I'm in these days is the race to the cooler. That usually begins at the part of the ride where I can start to smell the cold, refreshing beverages waiting there. 🍺
  15. So, what you're saying is, "different goats for different blokes" then, right?
  16. Would the people behind the counter at Whataburger qualify as nutritionists?
  17. You know you have to take every opportunity to ride when it isn't raining. (not that this was an issue for the Arizona rider, but, reason, yo.)
  18. Or, maybe this guy gave him the idea ... http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/February-2019/Bicycle-Bank-Robber-Tom-Justice/
  19. What if it were a pedal-operated Hobie Kayak, only with electric assist installed for the pedals? Would this need registration if there is no throttle and no movement of the boat without a human pushing the pedals? Isn't this the defining difference between an electric motorcycle (scooter, etc.) that requires registration, and an E-bike? Not taking a side here, just looking at existing application of the statutes.
  20. Wait, didn't I read this in Penthouse years ago?
  21. First rule of "Getting Old Club" is that you don't talk about Getting Old Club.
  22. E-Strava could certainly be an E-go crusher.
  23. If it has a throttle, then no. If they have pedal assist, I'm ambivalent.
  24. There will always be polarization of E-bikes. This will never change. The positive and negative polarity of the battery is unavoidable.
  25. Either way, this exposes a corollary to an old adage, as in this case a poor craftsman should blame their fools.
