  1. This is confusing, weird the kit just comes with 10wt oil. About to do the lower service on my Fox 36 2020 grip2. This tutorial is what I am using: https://www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/how-to-servicing-fox-suspension-forks Looks like grip forks use 5wt on damper side bath.
  2. Great trail conditions and updates to flow trail are awesome!

I've never been, going this weekend to check it out, I would be down for a group ride in the future!
  4. I have seen quite a few e bikes at Walnut, always thought that was a strange place for them, especially on the pump track. Figured they were just renting them and only knew of Walnut. But yeah these were able bodied people and were using them to haul ass, totally want to call them out, but I guess they were outside and off their phones?
  5. I am also tall with long legs and always went with 175, even thought about some special cranks that came in longer lengths. New bike is super long (515mm reach), slack and has a low bottom bracket. Came with 170 mm cranks on the XL and I was worried since for some odd reason I thought 5mm made a big difference. Cannot feel any difference and definitely helps for the rocks around here.
  6. Thanks, yeah it is a small derailleur hanger screw coming loose and it's aluminum so it looks like this screw will work with the purple 222
  7. In the same boat, my wife was really not excited about me going, but I made it out undamaged. I tried to not stay out their all day since she was losing her sh*t while I was gone. I got plenty of runs in, I was pretty winded. Since I was only out there for 3.5 hours I only stopped to rest on the chairlifts (which are super slow) and took a couple snack breaks at the top, but I was really spent. Got about 5 runs on the flowy blue trails, a few on the green, then did about 4 runs runs on the black trail, forget the name, then did a couple more runs on the blue trail, called it day. It will be worth your while. This was on a busy day out there.
  8. Picking up some loctite tonight for bike bolts and was wondering what color y'all use? Was just gonna go with the blue medium, thoughts?
  9. Looking to explore this weekend, SATN newb, where is a good starting point, only looking to get in about 10 miles. Coming from up north my thought was to park at Slaughter Creek and go out from there. Is this a good point to start from or am I doing it wrong?
  10. Always used the Park Tools green grease. Recently bought Muc-Off Bio Grease and it does the job.
  11. Nice rig! Fellow Nukeproof owner here. Love the geo and spec on their bikes. Enjoy!
  12. Feel your pain, attempting to land a kickflip in my late 30’s after a 20 year hiatus is tough on the body.
  13. Topeak Smartguage D2. Amazing tire pressure gauge but also goes up to 250 psi so you can use it on your shocks.
  14. Super similar tires, Aggressor has shallower middle knobs so has less braking grip but rolls a little faster. I think for around here the Aggressor is a great rear tire. Also love DHR II, hard to go wrong with most of the Maxxis line. I love the Minion DHF front and an Aggressor rear. 26 psi front and 28psi rear, but 240 with gear, could run less pressure methinks.
  15. Having ridden my buddies Megatower, I think the hightower would be a trail ripper around here. Pedals like a bike with less travel and is very light for its size.
  16. Interesting, I always replace after about 5 years thinking the helmet is degrading and becoming less safe, guess I am falling for the marketing. But it is fun to buy shiny new things!
  17. Brushy Creek is such a neat trail system! Just got out there for the 2nd time and starting to get a sense of the place. Thank you to the trail builders and everyone involved. It's a gem here in CenTex. Rode Peddlers Pass, Mulligan, Picnic, Double Down and the Rim trail, got my butt kicked along the way but loved the challenge, maybe someday I will clear it all, probably not though.
  18. Awesome tips on piston cleaning, love the thread!
  19. Do you mean the new Race Formula or just the regular stuff? Curious as I haven't tried the race formula, it's a little more expensive and I need a fresh bottle, not that the regular stuff doesn't work well enough.
  20. LOL, yep same experience, wife was not impressed, so I took it outside and when I finally got it to seat the loud pops echoed off the concrete deck, I cheered and my neighbors thought I was a redneck shooting a gun.
  21. Holy hell, didn't realize how nasty this stuff was, guess you I should have been more careful in the past in those tubeless battles where stans was spraying everywhere.
  22. Really nice piece on Jordie: https://features.bikemag.com/Jordie-Lunn-In-Memoriam/
  23. Trails are in perfect condition, a few damp spots but awesome grip and no wash outs on the sandier corners!
  24. So the first time you open it is sealed up well, just flip the top part up and pry it open. I noticed this as well.
  25. I liked having no backpack as well, there was much more airflow. It did remind me of how fat I am though with that thing accentuating my belly.
