Yes, but to be safe, I recommend lightening your bike a bit so that you don't have any problems. Ditch the gears and you should be fine 😉
WLemke
I’m seeing multiple reports from people who had knobs on the ground. The nut is GTG.

AntonioGG
What is the likelihood that we'll be able to ride the nut on Tuesday night? Edited November 7, 2022 by AntonioGG
Nando
1 hour ago, AntonioGG said: What is the likelihood that we'll be able to ride the nut on Tuesday night? .44" in the last 4 days, 0" in the past 48 hrs. It's probably perfect right now. It would take significant rain to stop this week's R&I.
Chongo Loco
It came down pretty good at my house in Wells Branch at noon. At dusk yesterday there were a lot of just barely rideable sections that are going to be soaked I'd guess. I'd wait for a boots on the ground assessment before heading there tomorrow.

Yep, my wife was out and about just a bit ago and was in a short but significant downpour north of WC. Worst case with no R, where would the I happen? AustinBike
Basically it was wet on Friday, was too muddy this morning (someone posted it was too muddy) then we had a day with brief rain showers. I was dumped on several times this morning on a ride. I am not holding out hope for trails. I think an urban ride followed by black star will happen.
AustinBike
I am going to stalk the Facebook group and see if anyone posts up with trail status conditions. Weather Underground is saying .17" of rain, yesterday's trail conditions post said too muddy. We might be in the margins.

I'm making a recon run some time before 2 p.m. and will try to remember to post my findings here.
WhoAmI
This is after riding a third of the way through. 6. I bailed at the power line cut through. The first Tar Branch Crossing was wet going down into it, but the trail before it was dry. The trail between tar branch and .6 was sticky in places. The Inner Log Loop has seven or eight unavoidable wet spots. It needs another day in my opinion.

bear
So what's plan B for today, John's urban? Inquiring animals want to know. If not, just have to try again next week (if I can tear myself away from vendor supplied bbq and brews downtown).

AustinBike
Despite the shitty weather for the last few weeks, tomorrow looks like primo weather and the trails should be hero dirt by the afternoon.
AustinBike
Update from today Quote #walnutcreek update as of Monday night: It’s mostly fine. Softer than I would like, but 80% of the trail is great. Watch out for puddles on the log loops and BMX. I’d skip .6 for another day it was _really_ soft. I gingerly picked the driest line through. Teamsloan
In times past there's been a 4:30 group, and a later group of us that struggle to make it out on the trail before 5:30. 😛
AustinBike
The social group typically leave around 5 or so. I usually get there between 4 and 4:30 to do a little early reconnaissance and get some extra riding in.
