  1. Just wrapped up 2 hours at muleshoe. In good condition. Not the most technical of trails, but a lot of fast flowy stuff. Great spot to get back into the groove after being off the bikes for a month.

  2. For those of you who don't do Facebook https://www.facebook.com/theSATN/ here's a VCT notice: The Violet Crown construction folks are working to put down Stalok and Stabilizer over the weekend between Slaughter Creek (at Boulder Crossing) and Slaughter Lane (Walgreens). This will result in periodic trail closures as necessary to put down and roll finished product from now until mid to late January. They are working to allow as much access as possible throughout these different construction phases but we will have to periodically close segments throughout the Slaughter Creek trail to protect their work and trail users throughout the next month. Please do not ride on newly installed trail. The new Slaughter Lane car bridge has a nice sidewalk now open that will allow a detour from this under construction portion of our trail.

  5. Yeah and all these others have way more trails and way more elevation. If I were them it would be $200 for the year to test ridership potential.

  6. Everything that I have ridden in the last two days has been fine EXCEPT for Phoenix North (the school side) and Phoenix South. Both of them were sink down into the mud muddy on their west ends. Digo's Shortcut, the trail that runs along the houses through the Hielscher Greenbelt, was fine. I would say trail conditions are beyond fine. They are hero KOM dirt right now. Get out there!

  8. Non-e is doable, but you'll definitely want an ebike for muddy days.

  9. I'm thinking about trying out the these trails next week. I only have a manual peddle style bike and not sure if these trails are doable without a full on ebike?

  11. I've been watching Bentonville Trail Porn on the computer at work ALL DAY today. Fortunately the IT department is pretty lenient about this sort of thing. Oh, and ... I-am-the-IT-department Departing tomorrow to spend the holidays riding in Wonderland (AKA Area 51l) and other NWA trails.

  15. The new end to Peddlers Pass is rough cut. I've only had time to groom about half of it. Go ride it and help to pack it down. A word of warning, there is still a lot of loose rocks and other hazards in a few areas. In the attached image the green line is the current last section of the trail, the red line will be the new trail. It adds about 0.6 miles. The trail does loop back upon itself so watch for other riders if taking the route. I won't be closing off the old route until sometime in early January
