Tree Magnet
This came across my google feed this afternoon: https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/austin-police-investigate-robbery-at-north-austin-bank-monday/1825750165 Several things popped into my head: Did someone attempt the EB ride over the weekend and need some cash? I wonder if the thief was running STRAVA at the time? The best description of the bicycle is that it's 'blue'? This story would be cooler if there were some trained dobermans or something.

AustinBike
I cannot confirm the proximity of my house to shoal creek, and, as we all know, Strava lies.
notyal
It would be pretty easy for an experienced MTBer to rob a bank and disappear into SATN or some other spiderweb type of trail system with the heat on.

cxagent
He probably jumped into all the trails there at Shoal Creek and Anderson and just disappeared. Nobody could even see where he went until he posted his Strava to claim a KOM. Wait a minute...

With my poor sense of direction, I'd probably ride away scott free, then somehow pop out at the same trailhead as the bank I just robbed. Just make sure you're not doing it on a super-bright-orange rare custom made bike when you do it. That article was a good read! The guy was troubled. AustinBike
My bike is black on black. Unless you look at the head tube it is almost impossible to see who the manufacturer is. But this is for my security. People think it is just some cheap no-name bike, and who would want to steal that, especially without any gears 🤣
