Black cherry rosemary skirt steak. One of the best sears I’ve ever gotten.5 points

I'm one of those folks. If your dropper lever doesn't have a ball bearing pivot on the lever and can't be color matched to you bike's color scheme...what are you even doing with your life?4 points

I've seen some good memes on centrifugal/centripetal force before. There was meme where the punch-line was that it was "a parent," but I can't dig that one up at the moment. But XKCD will suffice!4 points

Donated! Happy to help. I'll probably never actually ride that new stuff on Snail, but y'all work hard on all kinds of stuff so I'm happy to help. Are we still planning on moving the one ramp to Peddler's? I'm ready to help with that.1 point

And at 8+% ABV, packs a pretty good punch, as might be expected given its name 😎1 point

I was eating some pretty damn good chicken fajitas while reading this and suddenly they didn't seem nearly as good. 😞1 point

Faster until you have to do something other than go straight. Tree, rock, ledge, berm, etc. will change that math in a heartbeat. I think that a mtb rider would be faster on an emtb. However, if you aren't comfortable on a normal bike on the trail, an emtb will find your limits just that much quicker.1 point

have you ridden an emtb? the gain is not marginal. she will be faster than you, pretty much guaranteed.1 point

A father with his kid was out there today with one of these: (stock photo) A TowWhee bungee tow. They make them longer for adults too. My wife and I laughed and said, "cheaper than an ebike."1 point

I've got a bike in a box project for anyone interested. It's an older 70-80's I believe 1976 Motobecane Nomad sprint. I got the bike to try to build it into a single speed but wound up just buying a new single speed instead. I disassembled it but have all the parts. Anyone interested in a project like this is welcome to have it. Here's a pic of what it looked like. Not an actual pic of the bike. Off the web.1 point

I forgot who on here sparked the idea but last weekend we did our third family cook day. Idea is that each of us draws for a meal. BF. Lunch. Dinner and desert. The kids both have really stepped up. They have to find what they want to cook. How it might be done. Obtain ingredients (us) And then cook it. Serve it and clean the mess up. My wife has Celiac disease so of course everything has to fit her needs. We are only allowed to advise and not help them. Been fun and a lot of laughs and learning. They have always cooked but this is above the normal stuff. My girl did from scratch Ravioli And also did a CreamPuff pastry with a cinnamon custard with fruit. Yesterday's happy hour cooking show was one skillet lasagna: https://thymeforcookingblog.com/2019/10/pasta-with-beef-spinach-and-ricotta/ And tonight we just used the HEB pizza crust for a jalapeño, eggplant and sausage pizza: While I still firmly believe that thin crust pizza is the work of the devil, I'll allow this masterpiece to hit my belly.1 point

You wouldn't think it a huge deal, I mean, it isn't like you need to stop and lower your quick release! But I can't say enough good about the Wolf Tooth lever. And I bet their light action version is even better. And folks rave about the PNW Loam lever. I also have a BikeYoke Trigggy lever that I keep as a backup and it's pretty good--as is Jessica's Brand X lever. Basically any lever that works like a front derailer shifter is going to be decent. I did a little spin on my Spitfire a couple of days ago, and it has an old KS polycarb lever shown below, and it was just awful. Indeed I found myself using the dropper less. I can't even imagine using one of those early under-the-saddle levers...1 point

Yea it definitely Sat too long without wheels on it. And now with this pandemic no one wants to host a group event to make it more known to public. Word of mouth on social media will be the only thing that can draw people in now. I'd also suggest writing to the county or park staff and ket them know you specifically enjoy the flow trail and hope to see more of it. The more they hear that the better.
