  1. A few years ago there were some plans drawn up for a skills type mtb park with some structures and man-made obstacles to the west of Parmer. Will anything of the sort be included with the new comstruction?
  2. The GCW frowns upon the development of this tract. The COA needs to perform a study on how grinding down a hill side and constructing a large structure affects GCW population and habitat. We need answers.
  3. Bluebonnet Season! My favorite time of year.
  4. I ride my K-monkey with a 100mm fork. It was rated for 100mm to 140 mm travel. I prefer the handling of the short fork and my riding style doesn't require more.
  5. Do you have the 1mm spindle spacers for the RF cranks? My RFs have 3 small white spacers that go onto the drive side spindle.
  6. Good looking frame, but you just got a Taiwanese guy laid off. You hateful s.o.b. Lol.
  7. I know a guy that has run 3" tires on a lefty. Required him to dish the rim over to compensate for the tire size.
  8. Phil's World is worth it. Plus Cotez has a good bike shop and a beer/burger bar downtown. If driving up through NM and need a little side piece, White Mesa outside of Zia Pueblo is an entertaining ride.
  9. Little bits of SW Wilco Regional Park amd LGT that I rode today were dry.
  10. Was in earlier this week and they had a couple of Nashbar branded steel single speeds. $119 each. Perfect for a beater bike. I tried to justify it and failed.
  11. Here's Brushy area wet weather alternatives. This is one of the longer ones, but I add/subtract as time allows. Sucks, but gotta make due with what's available.
  12. Also a factor, vegetation is saturated and cool temps slow growing.
  13. Found this a couple weeks ago riding Town Lake etc while waiting for rush hour to die down. Was able to squeeze a couple extra miles out of it.
  14. Or... As slick as snot on a watermelon.
  15. Stumbled into some Zoics last Christmas and now have three. Fit great, flexy, and good padding.
  16. I bought some 160s and they work fine with BB7s. I didn't pay for the expedited shipping, so it took a while to receive.
  17. Don't know you, but I love you. I do most of my riding in the Brushy vicinity on a rigid 29'er set up to handle all surfaces. mini-Monster tour style.
  18. Al, Did you go up the Rock Garden Trail to the canyon rim? Fantastic views up there.
